He told me to go off all of my medications which have been keeping me balanced for years. Dangerous!

Dr. Ransen provides real solutions and genuine happiness quickly. If you want only a shoulder to cry on, then you may be satisfied with a young therapist who lacks Ransen's experience since earning his doctor's degree from Cornell in 1979.

I would give this man three stars. He is very helpful in making most, if not all diagnoses, that clients that go to him are not defined by him/her. I personally never had him with kids counseling, or weight management or hypnosis. Unfortuantely for me everything (solution he posed) was at the expense at my own risk (which HE CLEARLY states that in his personal blog), but I found out that post-counseling sessions. He even sent a request to linkedIN to connect with me which he un"connected" (the nerve).

After more than 20 years of a stormy marriage and disappointing experiences with 2 marriage counselors, Dr. Ransen was like a gift from heaven. We needed just a long initial session and 2 more short sessions. As he promised, we talked only about solutions -- not problems -- after the first 15 minutes. We already knew how complicated problems can be, and lord knows we had milked them dry with other counselors, but it never helped. Dr. Ransen showed us how simple solutions are, and we discovered at home how easy their are to do.

There is no doubt in our minds that Dr. Ransen showed us how to save our marriage. And in only 3 sessions!

We will be grateful forever, and so will our kids. Ver highly recommended!

I had the misfortune to meet with Dr. David Ransen who came to a quick and final diagnosis after only just one session. I immediately knew his recommendations would not solve my issues. However, when I expressed my concerns multiple times, during and after the session, he refused to listen and informed me that he did not see any evidence of my complaints during our single meeting. I feel cheated, depressed, and insulted after meeting with Dr. Ransen! How can any therapist presume to know a patient so well after just one meeting that they refused to listen to their concerns or complaints? On his website Dr. Ransen touts he has cured many patients after just one session, including those patients who seeked help from other therapist. Apparently, he is so arrogant that he believes this statement to be true regardless of the feedback provided by the actual patient. In my opinion, Dr. Ransen lacks empathy and compassion; he does not listen to his patients. I do NOT recommend his services!

Dr. Ransen was terrific. Much more experienced and trained than other therapists. No psychobabble. After years of problems, we were happy after just 5 weeks! He says no one has ever needed more than 8 weeks.
