Very knowledgeable and practical doctor, always runs late because he spends time with each patient, very effective resource, great solutions and options. nothing wrong with his methods or personality, you get answers and solutions. Receptionist is great and efficient, who cares about the rug, you are not there for that, you go because you NEED his advice and solutions.

Dr. Grills’ bed side manner is poor. Really needs to work on how to talk to patients. We may not have doctorates, but that doesn’t mean every patient that walks in is “stupid” as he says. Seriously needs to learn to talk to people.

Dropped my elderly parent as a patient after I filed a written grievance against his colleagues in the Fraser Health Authority. I do not recommend.

One of my favourite doctors ever - he usually runs behind because he takes his time with his patients. Extraordinarily knowledgeable, helpful, interesting and kind! Although I recommend new carpet in the lobby :) Must be a new secretary because she was great!

Went to see him regarding a thyroid issue. He did not have all of my latest thyroid tests...my papers all over his desk in disarray. My thyroid was very swollen and has been for quite some time....visibly sticking out my neck. Asked me how would I possibly know my thyroid was swollen...would not even examine my neck. Thyroid tests from gp clearly indicated swings from hypo to hyper. Wanted to know the details of my PTSD which I refused....none of his business. Long story short....no exam...no tests...told me I have psychological problems and am obsessing on my thyroid. Saw another endo in new west....severe hashimotos....autoimmune disease...thyroid meds. Feel like my life is back. Dr Grills was insulting, patronizing and ignorant. Wouldn't send a sick dog I liked to see him.

Very poor knowledge of thyroid disorders. But rather than admit that becomes condescending and patronizing. See someone else if your oroblem is thyroid.

Excellent doctor. Explains everything to you on easy to understand terms. Patient and calm demeanor.

I've seen reviews for his secretary. She doesn't have a cuddly personality and is often blunt. If the phone rings while you are talking to her she'll just say "wait" then pick up the phone. This is minor as I'm there for the doctor's care not the secretary's. She had said some things to me I'd consider rude but I brush that off. Overall Dr. Grills is recommended.

I recently left his practice because of his secretary. I had multiple bad experiences with her and the final straw was when she accused me of yelling at her and being abusive when I asked how long I should wait to hear about a referral.

I cannot speak to Dr. Grills knowledge, punctuality or helpfulness. This rating is for his secretary, of whom he is responsible for. If Dr. Grill is a great endo, he needs to find a secretary to match his abilities and personality. I have just experienced a very abrupt and unfriendly encounter with her over the phone. She came across to me as uncaring and beligerent. Based on his staff, I will be seeking a new endo and sending a letter of complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons regarding Dr. Grills secretary.
