Dr. Scrumpf, in my opinion, should retire. I went in explaining in simple terms how my foot had been swollen for nearly 2 years. I had explained that I had stepped on something and it felt as if the object had, as a piece of glass or sliver had gone into my foot . In the exact spot where something had gone in, the place was now calloused over. Dr. Schrumpf dismissed what I was telling him. He said.. " I don't mean to 'INSULT ' you , but I've been a doctor for 25 years.. and that is not what's wrong with your foot." I said, "Okay, " and let him continue . He , and I'm not kidding--- LOOKED me up and down, and said 'again'; "I don't want to INSULT YOU, but what do you do ? SIT on the couch all day ?" . (I am 5 ft 4 inches tall and weigh 160 pounds, I am 72 years old, I walk everyday; I swim 3 times a week; I am taking care of 2 grandkids ages 4 and 5. I live in a basement home and climb a steep stairway at least 8 - 10 times a day ! ) I have no idea why he asked me that last question, except HE THEN, brought out a expensive jogging shoe and a full page of types of shoes to be found in a store or 2 in town that I should buy. ( The doctor then said to me: ("You wear horrible shoes and you should buy these other shoes--IF YOU CAN AFFORD THEM !) I had had enough of this 'SHOE SALESMAN' . I put 2 and 2 together and figured he must be getting a cut-back on the number of these expensive shoes he was getting me and probably others to buy. He had insulted me; he did not listen; his next comment was that (' IF I BOUGHT THOSE SHOES, I COULD COME BACK IN 2 WEEKS , FREE OF CHARGE AND HE WOULD GIVE ME A SET OF PLASTIC INSERTS TO PUT IN THOSE NEW SHOES." I am now looking for a 'competent' , Real, foot doctor. Schrumph did nothing for my actual foot problem. He should retire. I think he is not mentally stable.. (Warning to the wise-- do NOT go to him if you want medical help.)

This man was incredibly rude and abusive to me after I conducted another doctor as my toe infection was not getting better, he assumed it was a burn that I didn't feel as I am diabetic even though I told him it was a sliver that my daughter removed he dismissed everything I told him and refuses to prescribe antibiotics, told me I had a "antibiotic fetish" and also refused Snyder pain meddling because he had heard that I was a addict which is totally untrue. By the time I saw another Dr. I was immediately admitted to the hospittalnd surgery to remove the toe
