He is a very pleasant Doctor. And knows what he is talking about. He answered my questions well.

Horrible doctor. Horrible clinic. You can never get through on the phone. He never listened to me. He wouldn't help me in any way and instead told me to do things that made me sicker. What a terrible doctor.

I first met Dr. Dana Moffat over 7 years ago. From the moment I met him, I knew I was in good hands! After my surgery he was direct , but caring and gave me sound advice on how to deal with my disease! He answered all my questions, and was very supportive! Over all these years, he has always taken the time to hear my concerns, and never rushes me through a visit, either on the phone or in person! He has always provided tests and procedures for me in a timely manner, done countless follow-ups, and even checked in with me to see how I'm doing. I couldn't ask for a better Doctor! He has really been there for me! I trust in his judgement 100%. I am blessed to have him on my team!

Met Dr. Moffatt for the first time yesterday, I must say the exam was short& sweet, but to the point which I sure appreciate, as well as he really just tells it like it is. The very next day the hospital called to arrange a CT scan. This Doctor is truly a professional in all aspects .

Had dr Moffat for my ERCP and man he's amazing. I was admitted to hospital with blocked duct and super scared. He's very kind but yes very to the point but his nurses answered all the questions I had. He can be abrupt but the fact my ERCP took 5 minutes and was a good experience tells you everything.

Do NOT see this GI. he always rushes me through my appointments. He takes months to get in with. There was times I was profusely bleeding. I tried to get in with him sooner and I was told that he had no openings, and to go to the hospital if it was that bad. Well I can’t exactly keep going to the hospital. I have a life and I’m a mom. He’s continuously trying to throw prednisone at me even though we’ve already discovered it does nothing to help me. It only cause other health issues. I had an MRI done on my abdomen in January, 2021. I tried calling months later to get my results but I couldn’t get an appointment. I had to get the results from my GP who told me I had severe fatty liver and needed to make changes ASAP. He referred me to get biologic infusions as well. After a year of getting them every 8 weeks, the infusion clinic, NOT him told me that I’m supposed to get bloodwork after every 2nd infusion to ensure I’m doing okay. Not once had he mentioned this or ordered me lab work. Again, I couldn’t get a hold of him. I had to get my GP to order blood work. Which showed and increase in my liver levels… My GP is now looking for a new GI. This guy has no empathy whatsoever and just cares about his cheque.

TERRIBLE. Please go see someone else. Did not listen to me when I told him my symptoms, kept asking how symptoms were that I dudnt have and I kept telling him that. Did not address the digestive issues I have at all instead sent me to a pain management doctor? Still having same digestive issues whenever I eat anything. Didn't even listen to what I said ky job was, and wrote a different one in my chart. Arrogant and very unhelpful. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR . I have never been so disappointed with the care I received from a doctor but not just a dr but an internal medicine dr at that too !! . Arrogant abrupt . I had such terrible stomach pain I needed to go to emergency it was that bad . When there I was given a base blood test my vitals taken and my oxygen level on my finger done . Told my base blood test taken is all good , my oxygen on my finger good ,nothing wrong. Unreal. The numbers on the blood test done were close to what is called the normal ranges thus I am considered as well, everything great. The pain I had was so unreal and after waiting 6 hrs. at the st Boniface hospital he told me we see nothing wrong with you, everything is great but I can give you prescriptions for an upset stomach and also some meds for nervousness . Unreal. You feel sick to your stomach your sides in agony you want to just roll over and just die and nothing further will we do are the words you get to hear . The tests I received there would never have gone deeper into what is causing this anyways !! I know he has seen and deemed one test result I had as a ' not a cause for your issue ' and dismissed it and yet when asking another Doctor in the USA about this result they said that should not have been that easily dismissed ! Its just he doesn't care about the person in front of him sick, and thats sick to me. He has countless people to go thru, to see, very busy man, you will mean nothing to him , the more your problem is to resolve the more he will drop you you , but the very expensive prescriptions he can write the better the kickbacks , its about numbers not human bodys not the person not the sufferer not the one whom is in pain. No further medical solution to investigate as to what is causing my agony was done for me , nothing, no direction to go in , nothing. I've since found out that there are other gastro doctors, out there ones who are real doctors whom take an interest in actually resolving a health issue a person has. Ones like thoracic doctors who actually do know that whole upper area of the body also and how they all are connected , how symptoms can correlate to one another and what other tests that can be done , and are at such places as The Mayo Clinic, but that wasn't done for me by this doctor .


When I asked about this after the fact I was told we are not going to waste the tax payers money here in Canada for nothing . Can you believe that for an answer ? I am still ill sick to the stomach I've received no proper care or resolution as to what my diagnoses actually is !!! I cant afford to go to the United States for proper medical health care at that Mayo Clinic. He will not help you ,I went thru this I am not lying this doctor should not be a doctor . He will not invest any effort as to what is the problem but brush you with the easiest reason, As ' his ' time is valued to him, not finding out why your sick he simply doesn't care . Your scared when you are this ill you ask questions , and he dismisses them and you and your suggestions or questions are as non issues , responding to you like this : they're not the problem , not the problem, its like everything you would , could ask is shut down dismissed by him , its like he s decided already what your direction is its done I have spoken . This is what is called a Dismissive attitude Instead of looking into this medically why not go if he really doesnt know and see what the Mayo Clinic would do ,why not ? because he is too arrogantly full of himself. How is it they help resolve other peoples medical crisis's there but here in winnipeg he cannot ? Its because they have skilled dr s there and he is not & should be avoided . I have since discovered that these very expensive prescriptions , these PPis meds actually bring much harm to your health , they destroy your stomach , along with the other very expensive prescription medications he directed to take . I don't know what to do I am ill , I feel really ill , these pills did not help me they only made my stomach feel awful. Anyone whether its an athlete like gretzky , musician , or what have you , if they have true ability true skill true expertise ~ know their job inside and out they go to the best best places nothing good will ever be found in this city .
God Help me, I just do not have the money to go to see a real medically blessed skilled doctor at that clinic in the USA.
