I went in to discuss prescription options for hand eczema. I am nursing my daughter and requested that all medications be breastfeeding-compatible. Dr. Landers prescribed me two topical medications and told me that I would have to wean my daughter before using them, that all medications were incompatible with breastfeeding and that I should wean anyway because my daughter was too old (under a year!) and "your milk goes bad after a few months anyway". I took the scrips to both my OB and my pediatrician, who said they were L1 and safe for nursing mothers. So not only did she give me disturbingly incorrect advice on breastfeeding, but she wasn't even familiar enough with the medications she was providing to know that they are safe for nursing mothers! I will never return there again and would not recommend any person go to her office. She is cold, quick and does not give medical opinions based upon sound, evidence-based science.

This doctor seemed to have too many patients to get through her office. My visit seemed rushed and unhelpful. I am looking for a new doctor.

I myself am a medical doctor (unstated to Dr. Landers) and wanted to visit a dermatologist for a consult. Red flags began in the waiting room when a client stated "I've never spent such little time with a doctor, she was done with me in 5 minutes." Maeran literally spent about 5 minutes max with me, answered one of my several questions, treated me like a lab rat. Her body language and her words were cold. While I tried to see if other options were available she seemed irritated and exited the exam room as quickly as possible to hop into see the next client. I've since visited a wonderful dermatologist Michelle Bonta who made me feel like a person and not only answered my questions but didn't treat me like a number. Dr. Landers was in over her head trying to see as many clients as possible, leaving clients unsatisfied (and possibly misdiagnosed and untreated) when she could've been using more time to develop a client patient relationship and becoming an effective dermatologist.
