Dr. McCarthy demonstrates genuine caring and concern. I have been a long time patient of hers both before and after her post in Fort MacMurray. A very smart doctor who listens to symptoms and ask questions before rushing to prescribe and diagnose. I am a nurse of more than 25 years and have nothing but respect for this doctor, her skill set and compassion.

As an airline pilot employed by an overseas carrier and based in Vancouver I had a medical issue that the Flight Surgeon at my company needed diagnostic attention. Dr. McCarthy is also our family physician and she took on the task of getting the necessary consults arranged and when required re-arranged to expedite the process. She was more than obliging to get the process completed and my questions and concerns were always answered and dealt with in a professional but comfortable manner. We are extremely fortunate to have her as our family physician. Always willing to listen and explain; she's a real pleasure to be around. She makes our Canadian healthcare system look great.

Dr. McCarthy is, by far, the best doctor I have ever had. She listens to your concerns, and asks good, open ended questions to get more information. She never makes you feel rushed. She is very knowledgeable, and has a great bedside manner. I really appreciated that she not only hears my physical concerns, but asks how I'm coping or feeling about things. When I miscarried, this really meant the world to me. We are so grateful to be in her care!

Dr. McCarthy is the best doctor I've had. She doesn't rush you and seems to be extremely knowledgeable. I wish there were more like her! I"m lucky to be in good health, but know that if this ever changed, she'd guide me through whatever is needed.

Please get rid of Kelly she is so rude! I can't believe she is in this field. Very unprofessional and I try to not call or come in when she is there, she makes me feel awkward.
