My adult child saw this guy and had same experience as the person who rated on 7 March 2024, didn't assess ability to work and tried to re diagnose. Told him its in his head and would be on medication for it for several years and referred to pain clinic. Paid ACC puppet to get people off ACC. Backed up by ACC manager who is a bully as well.

Very dangerous man. Do not visit him. ACC sent me to him for a work assessment. He did not access my ability to complete work related tasks. He instead decided to re-diagnose my cervical facet joint damage. He rejected the ACC and treating specialist opinions and decided that my facet joints had miraculously healed. The severe pain I was experiencing was just psychological. He declined my application. Do not go near the person for any ACC assessments.

I have a workplace injury & mental health issue's caused by my injury & supposed work colleagues that occurred in 2010 when I was assaulted by a prisoner, then bullied, threatened etc by the people I trusted & worked for & with. ACC sent me to this guy recently to see if I could be employed. I haven't been able to work since I was medically retired in 2014 & have endured six/seven surgeries.
He is one of the nastiest people I have had the displeasure of having to deal with since I was assaulted. He had me in tears & I once again felt bullied & intimidated. Then today I got a copy of his report, that he got parts wrong. He thinks it's all in my head & I'm just another lazy bludger. If that doesn't make you think about suicide, I don't know what does.

Had to have a zoon conference with this Dr who was hand picked by an insurance company. Thought it was likely a set up to decline my claim but turned out to be a very understanding and fair assessment. Thanks Dr Burgess.
