I am an 80 year old male. It is now 2014. I was referred to Dr Reeves around 1994, so that is 30 years ago. I was suffering from anxiety and depression. Up until that time I had not really accepted this as the reason for my fatigue and emotional struggles with life. Dr Reeves was very quick to pick up on what was afflicting me. Admittedly I did not have to explain everything orally as I had made careful notes for her beforehand. She told me that I had probably been suffering for a very long time. That made me think that it had probably been with me since the age of 12. I had about three consultations with Dr Reeves and she prescribed an SSRI drug for me which I have taken ever since. Fortunately I am not someone who suffered too many side effects from this medication and it has worked for me extremely well. My life since then has been golden and I am very grateful for her skill and expertise. And her helpful manner and sympathy.

It was years ago now, and I went just once. I had been in the system since I was 16, in the 60s. As others have mentioned it was for an ACC sensitive claim. You'd have thought I was asking for the money from her personally. I went to another psychiatrist who just wanted facts, without judgement. I would not recommend Dr Reeves to any vulnerable human being. However, she is typical of her generation.

I saw Dr Reeves just before lockdown for an ACC report and found her warm, understanding and easy to talk to. She wrote an excellent report about my claim and I would be suspicious of the types who describe her negatively.

I saw her about 7 or 8 years ago for an ACC assessment and like the review here before mine, I also found her dismissive, distant and cold. She was extremely biased in favour of the ACC and may as well have been an ACC staff member. Her two 1 star Google reviews by Carolyn Moir and wyrmspleen are very accurate and I'm so glad that I never had to see her again. It makes me very suspicious of who wrote all of these five-star reviews!

I have seen her twice, once privately, and once for an ACC assessment. I find her dismissive, distant to the point of being plain rude and highly triggering. I would not recommend her if you are looking for anything remotely affiliated to care.

I saw Dr Reeves as an ACC client regarding sensitive claims and physical injury. I was worried as I had previously had bad experiences with ACC specialists. She was thorough, kind and professional. I felt she gave a very balanced and accurate assessment.

Dr Jan Reeves is the most amazing Doctor I have come across she assessed our daughter who had several problems not only did she review al these problems with skill and humanity she directed our daughter into the right places, I can not speak highly of her with out Dr Reeves we would not have our daughter today thankyou Jan so much from myself, husband and our family Cheryl
