Dr. Prematilake has been nothing but the finest Doctor to both of us. He listens and is very Compassionate and thorough. We have the highest regards for him. After my stint at emergency, he called me at home! We are blessed he is our Doctor

Doesn't discuss test results, ask questions which should be answered by the blood work in front of him. Almost always working at the hospital or away when I need him. Whats the point of a family doctor if you always have to go to emergency or a walkin.

Dr. Prematilake is a very good doctor. He takes the time to really listen to your concerns. He will very quickly refer you to a specialist, if needed. He's been our g. p. since 2014 and I hope that he stays in Selkirk for a long time.

He’s an awesome doctor. But his secretary is totally down rotten. It’s like she doesn’t want to be there. I gave her some paperwork that the doctor needed to sign. I waited for a week and phoned back to see if he had sign it . NEVER gave it to him. I even left a msg why these papers need to signed and she NEVER told him. She need to get her butt out of the secretary job and work somewhere else. Her attitude on the phone or office it HORRIBLE. I would give her 1/2 a star.

Dr Prematilake and his administrative assistant (aka receptionist) have both been extremely helpful to me since my primary GP suspended his practice. Scheduled surgery required me to temporarily stop a medication and get lab tests done. There was absolutely no delay in the follow through with the necessary communication between his office and the surgeon. In fact, his administrative assistant again followed up within minutes when further verification of the lab results was required by the surgeon's office. I wish I had both Dr Permatilake and his assistant as my permanent primary health care team.

Dr.Prematilake is a very good doctor BUT his secretary is doing a very very poor job. I dropped off a form that needed to be sign a month ago and I called her to see if the form was ready to be picked up and she said she forgot. So I waited for a couple of days still nothing. My husband and I went in for an appointment and the form was still not signed. Now I was waiting to get m pills and heard nothing so I phoned the company that I was getting it from and they were going to send me a card by email heard nothing, today I phoned them and it was a different person and told me that my doctor has to send in the code. So I phoned my doctor office and the secretary said oh well opps I forgot. Ugg This secretary needs to go.

I spoke on the telephone with Dr. Prematilake yesterday. He was covering for my GP who had suspended his practice. I needed permission to change my medication for upcoming oral surgery and required my doctor's permission. Dr Prematilake explained all the options available to me clearly and concisely. He took the necessary time to do this and indicated he would see me through the process in spite of not being my regular GP. I wish he was my regular GP. I was very impressed.

Some of the comments say Dr Prematilake is dismissive. My experience has been the opposite. I find him attentive and responsive to concerns. He has sent me for any tests I have asked for and he has always taken the time to talk to me about different concerns. I find he is a good investigative doctor.
