DrTampa-Lebbie recently performed a total left hip replacement for me at Buderim private hospital. After 10 weeks the recovery has been much better than anticipated. I can now play golf, walk 10 km, swim and cycle. The pain before the operation was ongoing and debilitating, now I have no pain. Every week I can do more and I am back to enjoying life to the full. I take this opportunity to thank Dr. Tamba-Lebbie for giving me my life back.

Dr Tamba-Lebbie performed a total replacement of my left hip.
One can only hope he has improved. After four and a half years I still experience pain with every step I take. It is my own fault for not researching the method he told me he would be using. Caveat Emptor. Since the operation I found out that the particular approach he was using is more likely to result in broken femurs (in my case the greater trochanter) and a greater loss of blood when performed by a surgeon inexperienced in the procedure. Dr Tamba-Lebbie performed the surgery without an assisting surgeon. Literature strongly suggests that my body type was not ideal for the anterior approach.
Doctors need to train up in various procedures. However it must be performed within the parameters of guidelines (that are readily available to them) to ensure the patient has the best possible chance for a positive outcome. I cannot determine that any such guidelines were adhered to in my case.
