I am very grateful to Dr. Yu. The government had denied my hepatitis C treatment, but he was able to get the drug company to give it me for free! I think the drug costs like 60,000.

very efficient! I needed urgent help and Dr. Yu was able to see me quickly in his office. He was able to find the cause for my anemia and used a laser to treat it. Very impressive.....

I am NOT a fan of this doctor!!!! He was upset because I refuse to take meds...which i explained they are not helping me but making me feel worse then before....so he then asked me to take more meds to control what the 1st set of meds were doing. I told him i was feeling better with herbal remedies and he refuse to see me for my semi annual check up ...unless i took the meds. Have not gone back since. QUOTE "Do not bother coming back for your semi annual check up if you are not going to take your meds" DO NOT LIKE HIM! Also I do agree with others, he does talk down to patients.

I have followed Dr. Yu for 2 years, his secretary has been fine with me. Dr Yu himself is awesome!

Just had an endoscopy and colonoscopy done to day by Dr Yu. He was professional and knowledgeable. Will be seeing him again for my liver issues, as he is also a hepatologist.

After reading the other patients' reviews I am terribly relieved that I am not the only one ill-treated by his receptionist. She yelled and showed no patience to me on the phone as well as face to face. Feel like a criminal when seeing Dr Yu. There must be a reason patients are seeing her boss, why can't she show a little kindness ? I have never been having this thought to anybody else : wait and you will have your turn falling into sickness.

I agree that Dr. Yu's secretary needs to brush up on her people skills, but I think Dr. Yu himself is great. He takes a lot of time to listen and asks questions intently to gather all the details. We need more doctors like Dr. Yu!

I visited Dr. Yu more than 2 years ago. He was quite fresh out of med school and he was OK. Recently I re-visited him again and he appeared not keen to listen to patients' concerns and he had also developed some care-less attitude and unprepared for patients' visit. I can still tolerate that. However, the worst thing I found was he still employed the same nasty and rude receptionist from 2 years ago. That woman is more suitable to work in detention centre. We are her boss' customers, not suspected criminals. She should be fired. I will ask my family doctor to switch me to another specialist in the future. Just because of the terrible receptionist, that completely ruined patients' experience. Dr. Yu's rating desired one star!!
