If zero stars could be given, that is how I would rate our visit with Dr. F. Nazemi and her staff. She ordered an ultrasound for my 9 year old's eye. You can't even perform an ultrasound on an eye ball!!! She sent us to our family doctor to schedule the scan. A family doctor does not even have access to this type of testing. This was all after waiting THREE HOURS to meet with her. And I can't even comment on her demeanour because we were literally in her office for two minutes. She is not even qualified to hold a license to practise medicine in my humble opinion, let alone deal with something as precious as an eye.

Now for her staff - incompetence runs deep at Uptown Eye. The receptionist claims things are being done. When I follow up to see if they've been completed, I am told the receptionist has done NOTHING. When I ask for my matter to be rectified, I am told it will be rectified when the 'doctor' is back in the office. That is a week away. I patiently wait the time and nothing is resolved. When I call again to have the matter rectified, I am given another date, two weeks away. The office manager Nicole gave me her extension as 1120. When I call back, the line repeatedly disconnects. Does she not even know her own extension?

Don't waste your time with Uptown Eye and stay away!

an amazing doctor/ophthalmologist. Her staff including Maheen, Kathrin and all the medical assistants at Mount Sinai Hospital are just amazing!! Many thanks to her and her entire team. Kind, knowledgeable and always listens to you.

I have several eye conditions so I was quite concerned once I developed cataracts and my eyesight worsened. Dr. Nazemi was very knowledgeable and able to give me the confidence to go ahead with the surgery. I am very pleased with the results.

I have seen Dr. Nazemi twice. I tried to give her a second chance, but she again disappointed me. The second time I saw her, she asked me " What brings you here" She should have read before that I have Glaucoma , and glaucoma patients have to have checkups every few months. that was all on her system, as she had seen me previously. Also, she almost forget to take a look at the visual fields, which I had to pay out of pocket (153Can), I had to reminded her to review them. I have had Glaucoma for more than 10 years, and I have seen many doctors, by far Dr. Nazemi has been the less helpful and understandable. it feels so frustrating when you are paying out of your pocket and you are receiving this type of service.

My two children and I have been patients of Dr. Nazemi for several years. She is very kind, professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. I always have felt that we are in good hands under her care.

Went to see her at uptown eye Specialists. She is very rude. I felt rushed I feel bad for the students who have to shadow her and people who are her patients. Felt like she doesn’t care or have no empathy for her clients. Just asked why I was there and whether I thought it was problem.. has no empathy and lacks care. Good luck to future patients

Fast, to the point. As clinical as you can get but I trusted her opinion. Does every single test available which is a good thing as my previous dr. didn't. I don't mind her clinical detached attitude because she does the work and scans of the eyes. Answers questions. Can't ask for more.

Completely missed that my 8-yr-old daughter had developed Vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC) -- a serious allergic eye condition. She simply prescribed steroids to reduce inflammation and refused to have us come back again to do follow-up after course of steroids done. She flat out said "no" when asked for follow up and dismissed us with a quick wave of the hand and a "she'll be fine". Guess what? My daughter was not fine. I ended up having to research online and figure out my daughter's condition on my own, and then thankfully managed to find a very knowledgeable and helpful optometrist to confirm diagnosis and get us started on ournongoing journey with this eye condition that can be sight threatening and incredibly difficult to treat/manage. In all my years of receiving care from a number of different ophthalmologists (for my own retina detachments, strabismus, cataracts, etc), I've never had a bad word to say about any of them and have always appreciated the quality care provided. But Dr. Nazemi is on a whole other level -- not only did not she not provide quality care, I would say she was down right negligent in refusing to do follow up. If I had to guess, I would guess that because there was no money to be made off my daughter (because there would be no surgery involved), she was not interested in the welfare of her patient.
