Easily the best bedside manner of any medical professional I've ever encountered. Very informative great conversation and kept my mind at ease during the procedure.

Dr. Norris is great. I have seen him multiple times for hernia surgery and endoscopy treatment where I had issues with my esophagus. He is on point, knows his stufff, and listened well to the concerns I had.. He was great at outlining exactly what takes place, what to expect and things relting to after care. I also know a nurse that has worked with him in the hospital on several occasions, and she told me that if she had to have a surgery, she would want Dr. Norris to be the one operating on her. I would reccommend him to anyone.

I had emergency hernia surgery performed by Dr. Norris. He explained everything before surgery and his follow up during my 6 days in the hospital was excellent, explaining everything what I could expect to happen. My follow up with Dr.Norris four weeks later in his office was just as smooth as how it went in the hospital. Dr. Norris is an exceptional doctor!

Dr Norris was my attending surgeon when I was admitted to Sturgeon with appendicitis. It ended up being too complicated to operate on and we opted for passive treatment, which meant a 9 day hospital stay hooked up to antibiotics.

He explained everything to me in a way I could understand and made me feel like I was a part of the decision (which of course everyone is responsible for their own medical decisions but many doctors just push their plan on you and expect you to just accept it). His bedside manner is very good, he never talks down to you or tries to rush through answering questions.

I had a follow up a few months after I was released and we talked about next steps, and he recommended a colonoscopy, which at 28 I was less than thrilled to agree to, but I trusted his expertise.

When I went in for the scope, he once again explained everything and made sure I had all my questions answered before I was prepped. I was surprised how quick and painless it actually was (minus the prep which is misery incarnate but that's a whole other beast). He and his staff made sure I was comfortable and informed every step of the way. I would recommend Dr. Norris to anyone.

For those who give Dr. Norris bad overall reviews because of his receptionist, keep in mind what's important is the doctor, not the receptionist. In any case, I highly recommend Dr. Norris. He is very knowledgable, personable, and incredibly capable. He's performed two abdominal surgeries for me, and both times the recovery time has been significantly shorter than expected, without any complications. Follow up sessions were straightforward and actually booked sooner than expected. He also performed emergency surgery on my father after a massive heart attack and though he eventually succumbed a month later, we had a month with my father we wouldn't have otherwise had if it weren't for Dr. Norris. If you have any choice at all in your selection of a surgeon, I strongly recommend Dr. Norris.

Dr. Norris is kind, non-judgemental and knowledgeable. Highly particular and paid close attention to every detail and step along the way. He has operated on me three times now and I would honestly not want to be on anyone else's table. He explained every step to me with plain english and even drew me diagrams. The only issue I had was with the staff. The staff at his office were sort of aloof and not overly helpful when I has questions regarding my procedures. Despite test requisiton forms saying that the office was to answer my questions or concerns, I kept being referred to the hospital who were not prepared to answer patient inquiries. Otherwise I would highly recommend his practice and The Sturgeon Hospital.

Dr. Norris is an excellent surgeon with a warm and caring manner. He seems unaware of the shortcomings of his receptionist who has little or no follow through. She mishandled my appointment(s), failed to inform me of the date for an appointment with a specialist, failed to inform the specialist of the details of that appointment, suggested that I call the specialist to relay information and then gave Dr. Norris ...........Oh what's the use she is lazy, uncaring and incompetent.

While some doctors spend a lot of time typing your information so as to keep up with their records, this doctor sits with you, engages with you, answers your questions, and gives explanations you can understand. I have had nothing but the best of care with this very fine doctor.
