I think Dr. Mahallati is one of the most proficient and caring dentists I've ever met.
He explains thoroughly the various options, and the reasons for his recommendations, is gentle and caring. Honestly i've never found this combination of expertise and caring in any dentist before. I've had dentists with expertise who growl or swear at their staff--who wants that while you're laying in the chair with the drill going? And most of the nice ones just weren't that good. Dr. Mahallati is the best of both worlds. He even listens patiently when I question him re new research, different kinds of tooth cleaning, natural options, etc. (yes I can be a little whacko, but after having some damage from dentists in the past, I've decided to ask a lot of questions. His staff are great. His office is calm, and you are usually the only patient, so there isn't that feeling of the clock ticking while tons of people are coming/going, and you get quality time from him. The only downside is that he's expensive. Insurance usually covers a fraction of the cost. But he lets you know the costs ahead of time.
