He is not on the ball. After my husband going to see him every month , for 4 months with worsening back pain, I eventually found out my husband was told to ER if not feeling better on the weekend, at a later appointment I had asked him why my husband was told to go the ER if not feeling better. He told me because of his history of kidney stones. My husband has NEVER had a kidney done, ever. He also did a test in the office, and we were told he had a bladder infection, and was given Norco and an antibiotic. I later found out, the full urine test came back, absolutely nothing was wrong. totally normal. Well...we did go to the ER over the weekend. Things were checked into, tests run etc. Come to find out my husband had a T4 fracture. Thoracic, vertebrae #4 fracture. Eventually found out that was due to cancer, Multiple Myeloma. At one point earlier my husband had been to ER with heart attack symptoms, but that was ruled out upon tests that were done. He had CAT scan done to rule out other possibilities for his pain. Sparrow ER, nor Dr Ronan told us there was something going on at his T4. So my husband fell through the cracks twice. I would not have known about this CAT scan result had I not asked for it while my husband was in the hospital. I was shocked to find out, there was something going on 4 months previously, and NO ONE followed up. A diagnostic test and patient symptoms getting worse and worse. Inexcusable period. I asked Dr Ronan if he saw the CAT scan results, all he said was he doesn’t get everything from the hospital. Then why do you give hospitals your family doctor information if they are not going to follow up, make sure family physician get results of test etc. So we had no idea the CAT scan showed something going on.
If I had know the results of the earlier CAT scan, I would have insisted on further testing., to find out what’s going on.

I receive good care from Dr. Ronan. I get appointments with him or a nurse practitioner even on the same day I call, when really necessary. He seems capable and confident in his field, but willing to make a referral if need be.

I went to Dr. Ronan because my husband recommended him. He didn't listen to anything I said. After telling him I want to figure out why I've gained 55 lbs in 2 years while working with a trainer he kept telling me to stop eating McDonald's. I don't eat fast food, I don't eat processed food and I kept telling him that. Then he drew a "plate graph" on the back of a piece of paper and broke down what foods I should eat because baked chicken, veggies and fruits are bad for me I guess. He was completely disconnected from me and my problems and wanted to just bring up things that are not issues in my life. Maybe someone else's but not mine. Very disgusted with his treatment plan to stop eating food I don't eat, my husband even kept telling him that was not my problem, that I do est very healthy. Needless to say I will not go back unless I'm deathly ill and need antibiotics.

Dr. Ronan was great. He sat down and listen to what I had to say. Made sure the information in the computer was correct for my current medications and then took care of my problem. The same problem other doctors had not resolved. Thanks to Dr. Ronan I am not on disability. I would recommend Dr. Ronan to anyone that needs a good family doctor.

Dr. Ronan is an excellent physician. He is very interested in addressing your concerns and treating you as a person and not just a collection of symptoms to be treated. He incoporates osteopathic manipulation into his treatment of patients and holds true to osteopathic principle as is evident with treatment of the "whole patient". I am very comfortable talking to him and am actually excited when I have to go see him becasue he is one of the best doctors I have ever had.

Dr. Ronan is by far one of the worst physicians I have ever seen. Very rude bedside manner and when I explained to him about cerevical problems and "Please" don't adjust my neck, he wrenched it and as I cried he said "Oh did that hurt"? I would not suggest ANYONE seeing him!

Visited Dr. Ronan with gallbladder ultrasound that showed stones and chronic inflammation. Was in excruciating pain and vomiting when I saw him. He told me that I did not need surgery and refused to refer me to a surgeon. Instructed me to drink only water until attack subsided. I ended up in the ER where a surgeon was called. He removed my gallbladder, and it was filled with gallstones and gangrene. The blood vessels adjacent to the gallbladder were encased in necrotic tissue from chronic inflammation. The "water diet" would have done nothing to help. This physician is not recommended.
