Dr Lee helped so many people including my family for years. A kind person, doctor and talented surgeon. He will be missed in many ways.

The signs of prospective bad service was quite clear whenvwe entered the office. The doctor's office has not seen ANY change in the last 30 years. As an example, he is still using a paper filing system for patients. I were referred to him by my gp and waited for two months to see a specialist. Therefore I felt like I had to ignore all the signs due to the crunched health system.
I waited for around 2 hoursafter the given appointment before seeing a doctor.

There were no explanations nor apology. The doctor is and old fashioned doctor that beams you back to 1980s. I will not be coming back.

A family member of mine had an appointment at this office at 9:45am, this doctor did not even walk into the office until 10:30am, and she was not seen until over an hour after her scheduled appointment time. This is not acceptable.

Dr. Lee kept me coming to his office for checking my eyes time and time again and after 3 times he asked me to see my family doctor for a new reference. But I went to see a fair-haired doctor, he told me that I needed to come for eyes check only once a year. So I knew Dr. Lee was wasting my time and our tax payer's money.

I went with my boyfriend to his appointment. Dr.Lee was very nice and he answered almost every question we had. The only downside was the wait time but then again he always take in any urgent patient although his schedule is fully packed. The receptionist really tried to book as accurate as possible but people always come late or just dont show up! Overall our expereince was pleasant.

As for the previous post about doubting his medical knowledge, I think going to different doctors they will usually just give you different opinions and convince they are right. The test result shows whatever it shows so if one says yes and the other says no then maybe you should just do the test again. Since the test was just based on that specific time.

My 89 year old mom was referred by her family doctor to see Dr. Lee Shui Hing, ophthalmologist, in end May this year. He diagnosed both eyes of my mom had last stage glaucoma and will lead to blindness. My mom is panic and lives in fear. I took her to see another ophthalmologist in Vancouver , she had visual field test, the result of the test showed my mom's right eye doesn't have glacumoca, her left eye is intermediate stage glaucoma, only need medicated eye drops regularly. I really doubt the medical knowledge and professional etiquette of Dr. Lee Shui Hing.
