I was referred to this surgeon after receiving a cancer diagnosis. After two weeks of waiting for a call from his office, I called to see if I could get an appointment booked .... even if the appointment was in the distant future. At least I would have a date to aim for, and relieve some of my anxiety. I was told by a very rude receptionist that I was “low priority, and that they would get to me when they got to me”....exact words. I was humiliated and very disappointed in the lack of professionalism. I waited another month ... with no phone call....so I called back. I wanted to make an appointment...or at least get on a cancellation list. I was told that they have not gone through their referrals yet. What kind of doctors office doesn’t go through their referral list for six weeks? This very rude receptionist told me they would contact me in December. Which was another six months away. I called my own physician and asked for a different referral. I do not want to step foot into an office that treats people the way I was treated. How rude, uncaring, demeaning and unprofessional.
