Well I see that people are happy with Dr. Livesay ,and I don' t have a problem with Dr. Livesay , but he needs to check on his staff, I broke my leg Nov. 4,2014 ,was took to parkwest in Knoxville. I had to have surgery on the leg that day , was in the hospital till Nov. 7, 2014 , came home on Saturday morning. Well I called Dr. Livesay's office on Nov 5, 2014 while I was in the hospital to let them know what had happen sence he was my family doctor. Well they told me they would call me back , never did. Flash forward to Monday morning Nov 10, 2014 , I call to try and get in to see Dr. Livesay "asap" he was not in Monday so I made a appt. for Tues. 3:40 pm OK so than call the only friend I got that will help me if she thought she could take me, but before she can take me she has to pick up her kids from school at 3:00 pm and that she would do the best she could , so called back to Dr. Livesay's office to make sure that would be OK if I was a little late, the person that I talked to said it would be fine just to call when I was on my way, so on Tuesday at 3:00 pm I start the painful journey to my car so I can be ready as soon as my friend gets there, she gets there and we are on our way ,I call the Dr. office they tell me they will have to reschedule because I'm going to be late, had told me they would on Monday and on Tuesday they can't after I got to the car with a broke leg and 25 stables in the leg, so know I will not be going back to a Dr. office that has know more compassion than that, all I see is a easy government money program there.

Dr. Tommy D. Livesay's response
I am truly sorry for your unsatisfactory experience. I have discussed what happened to you with my office staff, so that this kind of thing won't happen again. I do not always know what goes on with the schedule, and I know the girls up front try there best to accommodate everyone, without overbooking me too much; but I'm sure it could have been handled differently. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I agree with you both. Dr. Livsay and I are both former teachers, his detail and need to ensure hus patients understand us a trait he embarrasses for the benefit of patients like me. recently I was diagnosed with cancer and was sent to a large hospital and was told they would get me a doctor, and this person remains my oncologist he has been for several months. On my last visit with he entered with my basic info wrote on his hands and arms info he has told me over and over I feel a panic attack coming on. The oncologist can't even recall my medications thus suggesting I obtain a PCP as he often forget I ran out and several are never to be abruptly stopped. Since meeting Dr. Livesay i worry much les. I'm very happy with Him as my doctor. For the first time in a long time I felt as if I were part of the process. He don't dismiss me. he is a rarety in his profession. (He is a MD that utilizes medications proven to work DO's believe a little different to call Dr. Livesay my doc)

I have never been more satisfied than I was with Dr. Livesay and his staff. He has the best bedside manners of any doctor I have met. He really cares for his patients and goes the length to find the right treatment for you. He don't just write scripts and send you on your way. He wants to find the problem. I really like him.
