if you have multiple problems that need to be addressed he will make you come back multiple times to get them taken care of. wait times can be many hours so this is a big hassle. his staff doesn't seem very competent to me. the doctors knowledge I would rate high. his accent makes him hard to understand at times.

I started seeing Dr. Chionuma when I was approximately 14 years old. As an adult, I would not select an insurance plan unless he was a provider for it. He remained my doctor until I was near 30 years old and left Syracuse. He was very very thorough, compassionate, personable and funny. He had a Nurse, named Ruth that worked with him for many many years and she was great as well. I loved Dr. C!! ... and I would highly recommend him. - Michelle Sims

Dr. Chionuma Is by far one of the best Dr's....The time he gives to each and every patient is second to none...He has a great bedside manner and is very very knowledgable with a great sense of humor! Highly recommend Doc... John Bresett

I would not recommend this doctor. He has a very gruff bedside manner and he does not listen to the patient's concerns. He is very dismissive and spend very little time with the patient. He recommends expensive tests and prescribes expensive medications to patients who are clearly in financial hardship. He just does not seem to care, he gives every indication that every question asked of him is an annoyance. He acts as though i were a veterinary patient, unable to tell him what hurts.
