Dr Pettus was/is excellent in everything he did when I I was diagnosed with bladder cancer.

I have gone to Dr Pettus for over 10 years and he used to be a good doctor but now is only interested in $$. I was treated very rudely by his PA, who could not even diagnose a bladder infection. I complained to the office manager who was rude and dismissive. I then saw Dr Pettus to go over my bladder scan and speak with him about the very rude, abusive treatment I received in his office. Dr Pettus sided with his staff who had lied to him and told me that he didn’t even want to come in my exam room because he knew I would complain about Bennett. He also said he wasn’t the right doctor for me and I have to wonder why he didn’t tell me this over 10 yrs ago on my first visit. So the staff lies and Dr Pettus could care less about his patients. I was diagnosed with a bladder infection within days of seeing rude Bennet and he said Dr Pettusdid not believe me. I didn’t bother to send a copy of the positive test because Dr Pettus obviously could care less - unless you are having surgery. He was happy to do my bladder lift last summer and was pushing me to get the procedure for interstitial cystitis which I don’t have.

My husband has just been referred to Dr J Pettus and we absolutely love him and the staff very very helpful!! Definitely recommend him and the office very helpful when I had no clue what I was supposed to be doing to help my husband will use him if I should ever have a need

I would give Dr. Pettus zero stars if possible. My son had a surgical repair done by Dr. Pettus. He has had problems ever since. When he's visited Dr. Pettus (twice now), he has gotten no care, no concern, and, as a matter of fact, he is treated as if he's just whining and there is nothing wrong with him. It is utterly disheartening that my child, who also suffers from an autism disorder, can't get any help from this doctor.

My experience with Dr. Pettus has been nothing but top-notch. It is obvious that you are more than just a chart to him. He expresses heartfelt concern for your condition. He goes the extra mile to ensure patient satisfaction. I work in the medical field myself, and Dr. Pettus is highly respected among his peers for his technical ability as a surgeon. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

75 year old male. No prostate exam done. 2 bladder infections within 5 weeks. All he wanted to do after 4 seconds of seeing patient was Surgery. Talked and pushed Surgery. Patient believes he also has jock itch. Dr. Pettus never even looked at the area. Mentioned Surgery again. Also a very abusive and I mean rude and abusive nurse. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DR. PETTUS

Have been working with Dr Pettus for 2 months now with my father. The more that I have interacted with him the more that I am impressed. He is a good communicator and very interested in the well being of my father. He performed a lengthy surgery (6+ hours) and has worked hard to manage all the other doctors as the admitting physician. Have not iterated with he staff as much, but have not had any issues.

Dr. Pettus and the entire staff of the North Alabama Urology Group is the best I have even seen. They are courteous, thorough, kind and helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend this doctor completely without reservation.
