Dr. Basuk is extremely knowledgeable. A friend of mine with skin cancer recommended her. I will not see anyone but her. Each year she is rated Top 10 Dermotologists in Newsday. Yes there will be a wait but I have total confidence in Dr. Basuk. You will always be given your full amount of time at your visit.

Can not accurately rate as there are no 0's. This is the absolute worst doctor's office I have ever been in. The wait was almost 2 hours. I was then interviewed by a nurse and told her I did not need a full body scan as I go to a cancer center for that. The doctor finally came in, did what she apparently considered a full body body exam, barely looked at the rash I had which was one of my reasons for going. Then she was done. I never got to voice my other skin issues. She then told me there was no rash but prescribed a medication anyway which turned out to be non approved by Medicare. She spoke so fast I could not grasp what she prescribed and I am a nurse! The doctor was more interested in training her new staff member than in taking care of her patient. I literally left as quickly as I could. I was sorry I had not followed my instinct and left when the wait became extreme. The doctor was referred to me by someone who's opinion I value.
Too bad I didn't read the reviews prior to making an appointment.

I had to wait almost two hours for an appointment one time. The prescriptions and treatments they gave me didn't help my condition at all. Horrendous practice!

Dr. Basuk seemed knowledgeable about my autoimmune disease but she didn't give me a chance to tell her what my problems were. She talked really quickly and asked me why I wasn't getting physical therapy from my other doctors. She put Tegaderm on my back before I could tell her I get rashes to adhesives. One of the assistants talks like she has marbles in her mouth. She also prescribed me very expensive medicines which my insurance didn't cover. I had to call insurance and her office refused to. The office was closed when I called Friday.

The front office staff is not helpful or friendly. I've been here three times. The first appointment I actually left before I saw Dr. Basuk because I waited an entire hour in the waiting room. The other two times I was in the office for more than 45 minutes before I ever saw the doctor.

I will never ago back to this doctor. I've been going for several years and I only continued to go because she had my medical charts. The last time I went I waited in the waiting room for 70 minutes. I asked the receptionist for my co-pay back as I was leaving. She told me I was next. I asked how long I would be waiting once I went back. She went back to talk to someone, came back and gave me my co-pay back. While I was waiting there were several elderly patients waiting. I felt so bad for them. One gentlemen was resting his head on his cane. Dr. Basuk should be ashamed of herself for running her practice this way. She has no respect for her patients, only wants to bill as many as possible. I don't care how good she is, I'll never go back.

I have been using Dr. Basuk for 15 years and would highly recommend her. She is thorough and really cares about her patients. I have always found her staff to be pleasant and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
