Dr. Carter has delivered all 3 of my sons-13, 19 & 26. I’m almost 46 and he’s been my obgyn since I was 17 years old!! He has been Awesome through all of my pregnancies, precancer, and everything inbetween. I can’t imagine having to go to anyone else. He’s like a part of our family.

Horrible experience, terrible bedside manners, did not explain anything to me. Gave me an iud which has nearly killed me twice. I have been bed ridden for two weeks since allowing this Dr to touch me.

Although the office as a whole was ok, the few times I had an appointment with Dr. Carter were very uncomfortable. He didn't listen to my concerns about my birth control and the final straw was when he examined me without a female staff member in the room.

I have been a GYN patient of Dr. Carter for ~20 years. He is the reason I won't switch from a PPO to an HMO. I trust him and his referrals. Very knowledgeable, personable, listens to me - the best!

Dr. Carter was terrific during my high risk pregnancy - an absolute rock! However, as a gyn he was controlling, judgmental, and treated me like I didn't know my own body (and was somewhat of an idiot to boot). I fired him and found a doctor that viewed our relationship as being one of partners in my health. That "the doctor is always right (and is God)" attitude is so 1950s.

He bad-mouthed my old gynecologist who recommended his group practice after retiring. He also didn't know much about vestibulitis.

I was very surprised that I did not love Dr Carter for my high risk pregnancy. He delivered both of my sisters and my mom has seen him for years. However, at my appointments, he was very short with me, seemed like he had better places to be, and did not want to answer any questions I had.....not a good situation when your pregnancy is very high risk, to both myself and the baby. When I first became pregnant, we had been about to switch to Kaiser, for financial reasons. Of course we had heard all the nasty things about Kaiser and I wanted Dr Carter so we kept our Blue Cross. Well, after the first few months, I was SO unhappy that we went ahead and got kaiser....I figured i couldn't do any worse. I LOVED Kaiser. I got a WONDERFUL high risk doctor who got my daughter and i BOTH safely through the pregnancy. They have 24 hour numbers you can call and speak to a doctor. I was so surprised!

Dr Carter delivered both my beautiful girls and I can't say enough about him. We love Dr and Kate and he is just wonderful. Cool as a cucumber in a crisis and always alleviated any worries I had- even when my last baby was such a hard pregnancy. He is GREAT!
