I really like her. She wants me to be in control of my type 1 for my sake and to around a long time for my family, not just to have good numbers on screen. And she treats me very well.

I have been seeing Clarene for years, and I think she's great! She is extremely knowledgeable, but at the same time, respects the fact that I know more about my body than she does. I just referred the second person I know with diabetes to her, and would refer others if the opportunity came up.

Of all the doctors I see every year, I always dreaded going to renew my prescriptions with Clarene Hansen. Her patient rapport was quite demeaning. She looked at her computer more than she looked at me when talking. Whenever I had an appointment with her, I found myself just sitting in the chair being quiet and letting her do all the talking because when I would make a comment or ask a question, it seemed like she became defensive and talked down to me. I respect Dr. Susan Maturlo very much but because of her practical nurse, Charlene Hansen, I changed doctors.
