Susan Heath is the worst nurse practitioner I've ever encountered. I've only seen her twice, and she seemed nice enough on the first visit, but today she displayed behavior I never expected. She completely misunderstood a comment I made about an MRI I requested, which she feels is unnecessary, and yelled, "I can't BELIEVE you said that!!! That's INSURANCE FRAUD!! And YOU worked for ABC company??!! I'm SHOCKED you got an MRI in the first place!!" Then she proceeded to give me the evil eye and huff and puff. If my doctor in another state believed I needed an MRI, why does she think he's wrong? I only meant for her to include the fact that my other doctor deemed it medically necessary for me to receive an MRI when she requests it through my insurance, instead of stressing to the insurance company how much she believes I don't need one. How is that health care fraud??? Needless to say, I was speechless after her outburst, and left there feeling like a 2 year old. Now the search for a new NP begins...

I had a horrible experience with this NP. She has no manners and made several highly inappropriate personal comments throughout my visit. I had a procedure scheduled but thanks to her I will not go through with it, but instead will go somewhere else. Never before did a doctor make me feel so uncomfortable and bad. Worst medical experience. A doctor can be assertive and stern but should never make personal comments, especially on a delicate matter.
