How's this for an opening salvo: I owe my life to Dr. Tsong. That's right. I showed up at Kaiser with a lump in my neck. Bad news: Stage 4 Cancer. Good news: Dr. Tsong said, "we're gonna get to know eachother pretty well." He was right. Surgury, Radiology, Chemo orchestrated by Dr. Tsong (administrated by others at Kaiser and by No. Va. Hospital Center), scientifically delivered with care and attention. Two years clean this month (that's big, although Dr. Tsong says the five year mark is the real goal. He's a great doctor that listens well, cares, is thoughtful, and is definitely the doctor you want heading up your team when the chips are really down.

Dr. Tsong refused to follow up on a 5 yo after surgery. Sever pain with swallowing even with Morphine, still thinks it's a routine side effect. He would not even exam her to rule out any complications. I will never recommend him for his poor follow up.

He explained everything he was doing and what to expect, everything he said turned out to be exactly what happened, I thought he was very professional and I will follow his recommendations,

Answers his emails late, and is "not worried" if a 3 year old child's oxygen level is 92, or his heart rate during sleep is 120. His opinion regarding a possible sleep apnea in children is "Treatment for sleep apnea in children is surgery first."
