When first diagnosed with a problem Dr. Bhatt recommended a medication that could have potentially killed me. I happened to have gotten a second opinion who immediately stopped the meds and prescribed others. On the next app I explained that I did seek a second opinion while still awaiting her diagnosis (That I did not get after 6 visits) and she abruptly ordered me out of the office as she could no longer offer her services. Maybe the second opinion was ment to be as they found problems with one set of tests unlike the 7 others that Dr. Bhatt ordered. The doctor is very kind as long as you don't seek other care and after my experience, could not recommend her to any one. The wait exceeds 2-3 hours and another 30-45 Min after put into a hazardous room. This experience has forced me to know more about my body than she could ever tell me.

I can relate to many of the comments made by prior patients. I did not have a good experience at all with this Doctor and subsequenlty resulted in me transferring elsewhere. I am just dissapointed in myself that it took a year worth of frustration for me to have the courage to look for help elsewhere.

I have been going to Dr. Annapurna Bhat for about two or three years. She is a very nice, beautiful lady. I've almost always had to wait for about an hour in the waiting room. Having to go monthly made the wait a real "hassle." I didn't really plan to make a career out of doctor visits. She very often had me give the lab several vials of blood. I was put on two different medications to help with my "problem." But just what IS the problem? I haven't received a definitive diagnosis. Actually, I have not gone as much as she requested. Recently, I encountered another medical condition for which a doctor requested a copy of my lab work. My husband and I stopped in Dr. Bhat's office to pick that up. The staff said it was $30 and we'd need to fill out this paperwork. O.K. did that. No $ yet though because we'd have to come back for the records. Went back in four or five weeks. No records. Another month and no records. Sorry, but three strikes. Never intended it to be this way.

I first saw Dr. Bhat about 10 yrs ago but like everyone else my experience was the same even back then. I waited minimum 1 hour, maximum 3 only to have her walk in ask me to squeeze her hands, order blood work, give a bag of samples and be told to come back in one month. I have lupus and fibromyalgia and symptoms kept getting worse and worse and nothing further done. Changed to another doctor and was immediately put on methatrexate and IV iron infusions for severe iron deficiency anemia. You would think Dr. Bhat would have caught the anemia with all of the blood work she does. I also agree with the dirty rooms, have even seen dried blood on the counter and wall by the sharps container.Definitely not on my refer to list.

The waiting room was always packed. I waited for at least an hour to be taken back to a room at every appointment. She is difficult to understand with her accent and she offered no solution to my medical problem.

I had seen Dr. Bhat for about a year when I was finally fed up and found another Doctor. I waited sometimes up to three hours. While waiting we patients started talking and four of us had the same appointment time. How can she see four patients at the same time? She can't, which is why I sit for hours waiting. Then she spends all of about 10 min. with me. I was very unhappy and found a better Rheumatologist.

The least amount of time I waited for Dr. Bhat was 2 hours, the longest was 4 hours. I have learned to never do that again! Dr. Bhat was incorrect in my diagnosis which resulted in a very serious surgery resulting in the loss of most of my colon and an ileostomy. Blood work was drawn at each visit and the offer of a B12 shot every other visit at $25.00 a shot. Each time "new equipment" was purchased for her office you were given this test whether it was relevant to your diagnosis or not.
