My wife saw Dr. Gerstman after dealing with a doctor who was not listening to her complaints. It was like night and day Dr. Gerstman gave my wife a full examination looked over her MRI reports with us, explaining everything and took his time with us we never felt rushed like with the other doctor. Dr. Gerstman is a breath of fresh air I will also start seeing him, excellent doctor we left there with a renewed faith in the medical profession.

Thought I'd be in pain forever...not the case because Dr. GErtsman.chatham continued to work with me until he found the right meds that have changed my quality of life. Will be forever grateful.

Dr. Gerstman is the absolute best. I've seen more doctors than I can even count over the years and not only is Dr. Gerstman by far one of the nicest of all the doctors I've met, he has helped me more than anyone else (and has a great sense of humor to boot!). He is always incredibly thorough and doesn't push for big changes when everything is working. He's open to hearing your ideas for your own treatment. He asks all the right questions and is able to answer the overwhelming majority of those I ask him.

Wait times can be a little long since he spends so much time with his patients. Overall this is certainly not a bad thing, at least once he comes in the room. If you expect to be in-and-out, though, I would recommend scheduling an early appointment.

The last thing I have to say is the phone system is really not meant for any urgent situation. Expect to need a day or two to hear back on anything you need to call about. This is pretty standard, but I have also dealt with offices much better and much worse about returning calls quickly.

Dr. Brett Gerstman is very caring and considerate. After a thorough and complete exam, he listened to everything I had to say. He then explained the situation, and gave thoroughly explained suggestions for treatment. I will deal with him again any time the need arises, and would recommend him to anyone in pain.

Dr. Gerstman is not only one of the nicest, friendliest, and most trust-worthy doctors I've ever been to, he's the first doctor to successfully diagnose and treat the chronic neck pain I've had for nearly 9 years.

Dr. Gerstman is great. I was transferred to him after Dr. Allen left, and he has been thorough and caring. I appreciate that he always makes time to answer any questions (although because of this wait times can be a bit long).

I had one visit w/Dr. Gerstman following Dr. Allen's departure from the practice and found him to be excellent in his care and expertise of my condition. I was skeptical initially; but, found him to be extremely thorough, knowledgeable, excellent bed-side manner and truly understanding my concerns, fears. I highly recommend him. The practice overall is the BEST!!!!!

A truly excellent, caring & compassionate doctor. Great bed-side manner & sense of humor. Dr. Gerstman makes you feel comfortable no matter what the procedure. The NJ Spine Center in Chatham is a very busy office yet wait times are kept to a minimum and all of the staff are very helpful & informative. Highly Recommended! 5 Stars!
