I first started to see dr. Coolest when he was with Christiana care and I followed him to another office where he shared with another doctor I have had several surgeries through him a balloon like surgery I surgery for my ovaries cause he said they were leathery you also told me I had endometriosis and remind me and I am 22 and I had three surgeries with this man until I was 27 I will be 40 in July I cannot have any kids and my period stopped at 35 whatever he did he did wrong he is a very awful man and now I can't get anybody else look at me because I need my charts and they are holding them because I still owe a bill.

Dr. Michael Cooksey does not keep up to date with current Obstetrician and Gynecologist information and studies. He was judgmental about how frequently I encounter a new sexual partner as a single woman and would not place an IUD inside me after he had already charged my insurance for it. He claimed that an IUD would be likely to make me sterile based on my STD "risk" and referenced that an IUD had been pulled off the market "at one time" (IN THE 1970s!) for just this reason. He told me I should have done enough research to know that IUDs are only for monogamous women. The problem is that I had done my research, including reading all of the pamphlets he gave me during my consultation, and no where did I see that an IUD was only for monogamous women. I left my appointment in tears, feeling mistreated and judged. I read some publications in ACOG, including one published in October of 2012, #539, which stated that IUDs are virtually for any women and they do not increase your risk for PID. I called multiple doctors and my insurance company and everyone was appalled by the way Dr. Cooksey treated me. At this point I am not sure if he just doesn't keep up with studies in his field, or if he's just sexist, but I would not recommend any one to go to him.

I love Dr. Cooksey and his staff. I have been a patient there for 8+ years and Dr. Cooksey delivered 3 of my 4 children. He is a thorough, caring, and cautious doctor. Highly recommend!

My GP recommended him. I suffered from fibroids. He wanted to operate. I agreed because I was in agony. 1 week after the operation I had a fever and was vomiting. Called the office and 2 days later I got a call back from the nurse practitioner that I had something else not from the surgery. I go to a fertility clinic. I find out that an infection messed up my uterus and tubes. Since I had no stds prior to and after the operation I can only thank the staff for allowing me to become sterile. Go there at your own risk.

Wonderful experience. Dr. Cooksey took the time to answer all our questions at every appt. and never made us feel rushed. Our appointments were on time and the office staff was great. Highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Cooksey and his staff are top of the line..I switched to him because I was not happy with my previous OB/GYN, and I am so glad that I did. He is wonderful..I have felt comfortable with him from day one. He cares and really knows his stuff!! He doesn't rush you through your appointment, he takes the time to explain things and makes sure you know what is going on. I would reccommend Dr. Cooksey to everyone and I am so glad I chose him for all of my OB/GYN needs.

Love Dr. Cooksey! He has delivered both of my children so far and soon will deliver my third. His bedside manner and office staff are unparalleled. I would not consider going anywhere else.

I cannot say enough nice things about this practice. I was recommended to Dr. Cooksey through my sister. He delivered my second child 10 years ago and I have continued to see him for my gyn care. I have moved over an hour & half away, but nobody compares. He's worth the drive!

I went for routine annual check up filled out forms as requested. I complained that sometimes my mentral cycle is heavy this Dr. sets me up for a day surgery appt without explaining to me why or for what reason. I then cancelled the appt since I was unclear as to why I needed this procedure and was charged for the appt.

Most amazing Doctor I have ever dealt with. My wife and I can not thank him enough for going above and beyond during my wife's pregnancy. I would not recommend any other doctor!
