I have had a long history of spinal medical issues over the years. My most recent problem was lumbar pain and neurology issues which I had been experiencing for over a year. I finally went to my primary doctor for an annual check-up and I asked Dr. Farrimond who he would recommend if he had serious lumbar pain and numbness in both legs that needed attention. Without any hesitation, Dr. Farrimond recommended Dr. Sekhon at Reno Orthopedics Clinic (ROC) for any spinal issues.
I called Dr. Sekhon's office and got an appointment to see him quickly. I gathered all my medical history and recent MRIs and dropped them off at Dr. Sekhon's office. Within a few days, the office scheduler called me and said Dr. Sekhon wanted to see me. My first appointment was on January 4th, 2024, Dr. Sekhon explained in detail what was going on with my lumbar spine, and he had a plan of action to alleviate the pain and get me on the road to recovery and enjoying life again. The surgery consists of bilateral L2-3 decompression laminectomy right side dissecting L2-3 posterior lumbar instrumental fusion with the removal of old hardware. On February 5th I was on the operating table by

7 am that morning. The following day I walked out of the hospital on my own without a wheelchair and my wife drove me home. Postoperative I experience some pain but manageable.
The follow-up appointments were 4, 6, and 12 weeks followed by physical therapy and

Dr. Sekhon was very much interested in my recovery process during all appointments. If you are looking for a spine doctor and team that you can trust I would encourage you to seek ROC Dr. Sekhon's office.

Dr. Sekhon performed surgery on my spine. He clearly explained the details of the surgery procedure.
As a result of the surgery the problems caused by damage of the the lumbar portion of the spine were corrected.
I recovered from the surgery quickly and Sekhon followed up on post op appointments.
I am very pleased with Dr Sekhon and would recommend him to anyone that needs surgery on the spine.

I am a military veteran with chronic musculoskeletal issues who has undergone multiple surgeries of my neck and back. With my most recent spinal flareup, I was in extreme pain and my already compromised mobility was threatened. Many surgeons are quick to see surgery as their primary tool in addressing back problems. Doctor Sekhon is different and meeting him was a godsend.
Doctor Lali Sekhon’s holistic approach for me can best be described as an escalating level of aggressiveness beginning with the most minimal application of pharmacological, steroids, physical therapies, and finally to surgical intervention if needed.
I am pleased to say that my condition, including pain relief, has greatly improved under the care of Dr. Sekhon and without the need for additional surgery.
There were lots of complex steps involved in developing and executing my treatment plan which were handled in a skillful, friendly, and professional manner by Dr. Sekhon and his excellent staff of Riley, Trish, and Kourtney, all while effectively communicating the process to my wife and me.
I am very grateful to all of them.
Sincerely
John Albertson - Patient

I am very pleased to be able to sing the praises of Dr. Sekhon. I had to have surgery on my neck - replacing discs, etc. He and his staff were not only professional but were comforting and made me feel safe and secure in the process. I recommend him highly and have already referred a couple of friends to him. Thanks for making me feel good again!!!

Dr. Sekhon is a very professional surgeon and handled my visit with him with outstanding competence and compassion. He evaluated my condition and gave me a very concise and understandable opinion that gave me the information that I needed. His recommendation regarding my condition was much in-line with my evaluation of my current symptoms. I believe that he is an excellent doctor and is very adept at his specialty.

Moreover, Reno Orthopedic Clinic is an excellent place for evaluation of any orthopedic condition that a person might have.

Honestly speaking, I was terribly worried about having this surgery done. I’ve heard some horror stories but after researching Dr. Sekhon and meeting him and his team, I had faith I was in the right care. They were upfront, caring and very informative. The entire process was quick and seem less. Surgery went extremely well and I am now pain free! The post surgery check up calls were a nice touch and has been a great experience by the entire team there at ROC. I highly recommend Dr. Sekhon and his team!
