I have had a long history of spinal medical issues over the years. My most recent problem was lumbar pain and neurology issues which I had been experiencing for over a year. I finally went to my primary doctor for an annual check-up and I asked Dr. Farrimond who he would recommend if he had serious lumbar pain and numbness in both legs that needed attention. Without any hesitation, Dr. Farrimond recommended Dr. Sekhon at Reno Orthopedics Clinic (ROC) for any spinal issues.
I called Dr. Sekhon's office and got an appointment to see him quickly. I gathered all my medical history and recent MRIs and dropped them off at Dr. Sekhon's office. Within a few days, the office scheduler called me and said Dr. Sekhon wanted to see me. My first appointment was on January 4th, 2024, Dr. Sekhon explained in detail what was going on with my lumbar spine, and he had a plan of action to alleviate the pain and get me on the road to recovery and enjoying life again. The surgery consists of bilateral L2-3 decompression laminectomy right side dissecting L2-3 posterior lumbar instrumental fusion with the removal of old hardware. On February 5th I was on the operating table by
7 am that morning. The following day I walked out of the hospital on my own without a wheelchair and my wife drove me home. Postoperative I experience some pain but manageable.
The follow-up appointments were 4, 6, and 12 weeks followed by physical therapy and
Dr. Sekhon was very much interested in my recovery process during all appointments. If you are looking for a spine doctor and team that you can trust I would encourage you to seek ROC Dr. Sekhon's office.
