I have been a patient of Dr. Mazhar for 10+ years. He's phenomenal! He has a great bed-side manner, is very professional and takes the time to speak to you when you have an in-person appointment. I was also very impressed during the COVID closures that we were able to have telephone consultations with him. He is a great GP! He is very intelligent and when we require referrals to specialists, we always receive our calls and appointments within a couple of days.

I went in to see dr mazar in March of 2015. I was a Golf Course Superintendent at Beachgrove golf & country club. I was under a bit of stress at the time (anxiety) as Beach Grove was in the process of hiring a new General Manager. In fact the entire senior management team was under stress due to this new change in management. My Blood Pressure was elevated. Instead of making me out a prescription to be filled at the pharmacy Dr Mazhar went to a room in he back and got me a trial medication to treat high blood pressure. Keep in mind I was 100% medication free prior to this appointment. I went home but was kind of skeptical about taking the medication due to the fact that it was not from the Pharmacy. By the way my name is Dan McCaffrey. I did take the medication and it is the ABSOLUTE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!! Within 1 hour of taking the medication I could certainly feel I was having a reaction to the medication. I was getting chills, I was sweating, I was becoming dizzy. The medication was also making the anxiety I had way way WORSE! I started to get severe chest pains. I went down to my washroom took my shirt off to look at my chest which was really bothering me. What I seen Shocked me, there were surface veins appearing across my entire chest and abdomen areas. Keep in mind this was from only taking the Medcation exactly as directed. I tried to sleep but it was nearly impossible. I went into work the next morning at Beachgrove. My Assistant Superintendent Curtis Bondy could tell something was not quite right with me. Curtis could tell I was having a reaction to the medication. CURTIS AND MARY RICHARDS my assistant Mechanic told me I better get to the hospital right away. WHAT I now know for sure was that this was the beginning of a nervous breakdown I would suffer. I Dan McCaffrey am severely sensitive to medications. That medication Dr Mazhar gave me drove me into Pyschosis. Curtis even said the morning I came in after taking that medication I was acting very strange. The bottom line is that a simple blood pressuse medication was making me go crazy. WHY did Dr Mazhar give me a trial medication from a back room??? I was on Benefits at the time!!! I was earning $110,000 a year from Beachgrove. It is not like I could not afford medication! I was reading somewhere later that the reaction I was having does happen to about 1 out of 10,000 patients only mine was worse. It ws making me hallucinate, it was making me delusional. Because of this medication making me delusional the hospital then put me on an Antisychotic which I was SEVERELY ALLERGIC to!!! At this point I was confined to my coach for the next 2 weeks having to miss work! The new General Manager was very concerned for me especially realizing that I was confined to my coach. His name is David Main who is now the General Manager of the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club. After realizing I had not been at work for a while Gerry Stecyk a Board Member who hired me at Bechgrove came to my office at Beachgrove and asked Curtis Bondy how I was doing? Curtis told Gerry about me taking the blood pressure medication . Curtis exact words to Gerry were " Gerry Dan was under some stress and went to the Doctors his blood pressure wad elevated. DR MAZHAR PUT HIM ON A MEDICATION AND THAT MEDICATION CAUSED DAN MCCAFFREY'S NERVOUS BREAKDOWN"

He is my GP, best one I’ve ever had. His secretaries are rude sometimes. However he has given me and my family great medical care for over a decade.
