I was with Dr.Bourne for a a little over half a year, or three appointments, and only saw the doctor herself once. After finding out that I was interested in finding out about a pump I was directed to the NP (and pump sales person/trainer) to learn more. While both the NP and the Dr were nice, they didn't do anything to treat the concerns I had about my diabetes without the use of a pump - which after talking to the NP I determined I absolutely could not afford at the time. I told them as such and was interested in looking into other ways to control my blood sugar. I had also informed them that due to the nature of my job I might have to rearrange appointment times with them I always called ahead of time to schdeule a different day. I guess the staff didn't care of that because shortly before my fourth appointment I was mailed a letter saying I was being dropped for being noncompliant. A warning ahead of time would have been appreciated as without a doctor I can't get prescriptions for the insulin that I need daily.

Some of the worst office staff I have ever tried to deal with. They refused to send lab work reports to my primary care physician(PCP)who referred me to Dr. Bourne. The lab work included lab work that my(PCP) needed & Dr. Bourne does not use in her treatment of my diabetes, yet they refused to send a copy to my PCP. The receptionist that I spoke with was very rude, inconsiderate and hung on me. The receptionist was rude to the licensed nurse in my PCP's office when she called to get a copy of the lab reports. The practice manager was even more rude and inconsiderate when I talked with him. He told me that I could just cancel my follow up appointment and never come back there again. The office staff controls Dr. Bourne's practice and it is a terrible overall group. However, Dr.Bourne is very kind and knowledgable and treated me with kindness, consideration and respect. Her practice manager and receptionist is what makes her practice terrible. I am a health care professional myself.

Ifind Dr. Bourne a top notch Endrocrnologist. I was going to another endrocrnologist in the area who mixed my lab results with another patent and prescribed meds which were wrong. I have been with Dr. Bourne several years and she has been the ultimate Professional.

Dr. Bourne has a wonderful personality but we have never had the opportunity to have more than 15 minutes with her. We have a very hard case and need lots of help which has never been available to us with her. Dr. Bourne has never gone into detail about our concerns and problem with diabetes. She rushes through our case. I felt from the start that she didn't want our case and it showed. The nurses are wonderful but the office staff is terrible. We have waited in a room for more than an hour. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Dr Bourne Came Recommended by my PCP when my weight went up suddenly and for no real apparent reason. my T-4 for low normal but other tests could be done and symtoms still showed that I was hyerthyroid. Dr Bourne could feel that my thyroid was enlarged. An ultrasound showed a lump. She is also interesed in history pertaining to my Pituitary problems. I found my first visit with her to be over an hour and she listened better than 95% of the doctors I have seen. Her whole staff was very nice and curtious...which is generally a good sign. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Bourne was recommended to me by a friend. I was told that she would listen and not poo poo my questions or tell me that nothing was wrong. After years of being told that it was all in my head, she actually found that I had hyperinsulinism. Once I began treatment, I felt 100% better. She is bery knowledgeable and caring. I would take my children to her if I could. I wish that she was a PCP. I highly recommend her as a doctor.

I've been going to Dr. Bourne for about 2 years for diabetes and she and her staff are wonderful. They're all pleasant, professional and I never have to wait long. Dr. Bourne has a great, friendly "bedside" manner, she is kind and considerate and she is also very, very knowledgeable; I trust her 100%. She has spoken at conferences (Speaking of Women's Health in Orlando). She is one of the best Dr. I've ever had, and I'm picky. When I called with a concern recently, Dr. Bourne actually called me back. When was the last time that happened for you? I highly recommend her.
