Doctor interacts with her computer instead of making eye contact with her patient. Did not offer suggestions on ways to lower A1C levels, only wanted to push medications that she received benefits from the pharmacial companies. Staff did not relay messages to the doctor, had to follow up with phone calls.

Dr. Bourne is a wonderful, caring, knowledgeable doctor. She takes time to fully explain test results as well as giving options for your treatment. I absolutely recommend her to anyone who is in need of an Endocrinologist. I would also like to say that she has a great staff and office manager.

Dr. Bourne is a wonderful doctor and I trust her completely. However, her office staff is very rude and seem to "run" things and seem they don't communicate issues to Dr. Bourne. They are rude, unhelpful and uncompassionate, which doesn't reflect Dr. Bourne's personality at all. It's a shame that a few can reflect so poorly on a talented, knowlegeble Dr. as Dr. Bourne and Dr. Bauer.

Dr. Bourne seems to be very knowledgeable and spends adequate time with me during appointments. I like their computer system setup that appears to be efficient (may seem a little impersonal)and probably helps to minimize communication errors that could occur among the doctor, patient, and outside facilities. On the downside, the office does seem very slow in getting lab results forwarded to me.

I just got out of the hospital and called to ask a nurse about the new diabetic medication the changed me to and set up an appointment. The staff would NOT put me through to speak to one or take my phone number for a nurse to call me back. Her name is Kerri or Carrie. She was extremely rude! I will not go again to a place where I am treated with such disregard. I phoned another diabetic doctor's office and they were very nice and answered my questions. What a difference, when one is treated by a caring staff! I will go to them!

I initially went to see Dr. Bourne years ago when I was initially having issues and blood work to show something was wrong. I waited quite a while before seeing her and then when I did, she didn't listen respectfully, she ordered blood work and that was the end of the visit. The follow up visit was no better. She did not give me feedback and when there was abnormal results and I questioned her about them, she seemed to take offense. I discussed one particular part of the blood work and she said she would call me back regarding same, and she never did. Clearly a disappointment.

Went to her for a pituitary tumor. She put me on a medication (Bromocriptine)to shrink the tumor. It did, but the side effects changed my personality and ruined my marriage. She would not acknowledge the side effects I was having, and I had to do the research to find out why I was doing the things I was. I found others who had devastating side effects too.

Dr. Bourne and her office staff refused to see me even though I had lab results from this month and 5 months ago with TSH and other extensive blood work (A1C, Metabolic Panel, Lipid Panel, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Serum Iron). I explained that I also had lots of information from my cardiologist and could give her my medical information and medical history from my family physician. I asked if I could send her the information to look over before she made a decision to see me, but she would not do that.
