After 8 months under a dig doctors care- Dr. Crates looked at my ankle for a second opinion. We scheduled surgery and I am on my way to recovering finally! Great bedside manner!

I have suffered with ankle pain for almost 2 years Dr crates operated on my ankle twice I am now seeing a revision surgeon and am having to go through a third surgery because Dr Crates made it worse! I highly recommend going and seeing a different Dr... Dr crates just rushed patients through the office, staff aren't very nice and Dr Crates just pushes for more surgery instead of other options

Dr. Crates was very friendly and was able to diagnose me accurately. He was very clear with the treatment plan and really explained my problem to me. I am very pleased with the time he spent with me and his staff are all very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend seeing him.

I went to see him for my chronic ankle pain from a year old ligament injury. He moved my ankle around for examination so harshly that he reinjured my ankle, with return of my original acute pain. I lost a year of recovery progress that I had made. He also was trying to push me towards the surgery option. He seems like a mechanic who doesn't know how much to move ankle during examination. Staff was also weird with lot of attitude. I strongly suggest looking for another ethical foot specialist.

Dr. Crates operated on my foot. Among my problems was a hammer toe. This hammer toe was not addressed and not corrected. I took the risks of the operation and went through the many months of recovery and still have my hammer toe. When confronted, Dr. Crates is defensive and doesn't take responsibility. My strong recommendation is to shop for another surgeon.

Dr. Crates is one of the best orthopaedic doctors in the area!!!! I was seeing a different doctor who missed my diagnosis completely. The first time that I walked into Dr. Crates office he diagnosed me correctly with a rare nerve disease and probably saved my life with an early diagnosis! Highly recommended!!!!!

Dr. Crates did a very helpful and personally important surgery for me. I can't express the gratitude from that, alone, as my life has drastically improved from it. He is very confident, and with good reasoning. He was also very personable to me and my father during my follow-up appointments. However, at times i would feel like he was 'rushed' to see me, but I feel that was because he is a very popular orthopedic doctor. All in all, I am extremely grateful Dr. Crates was the one who operated on me.
