Dr. Patton operated on my back 6 years ago and I have been pain free ever since. He was very good a explaining my options and solving my problem. I was very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend Dr. Patton to anyone with lower back pain. Ed.Mc

I would not go back to him. I knew I had disc problems in my neck. He ordered an MRI on my neck/spine and one on my shoulder. His PA called and referred me to a shoulder specialist in his group. This doctor asked why Dr. Patton had sent me to him since the problem was obviously in my neck which caused the pain in my shoulder. I also didn't like his manner - he seemed very cold to me.

Avoid this "doctor" if at all possible. Prescribes pain medication rather than search for answers to spine problem. He said I was not a candidate for surgery. I had surgery by another surgeon which fixed my spine and relived excruciating pain.

Dr Patton has no time for his patients. Thus, you get stuck seeing his PA, Kristen Davis. When you have questions that she cannot answer, a bad game of "Telephone" ensues where she promises to call you back the next day. Of course, she never calls. You have to try calling her. But, you have to go through the medical secretary. It's impossible to even get the PA on the phone (forget getting the actual Dr on the phone.) Thus your question, gets relayed through 3 people. As is typical with this situation, by the time the answer gets back to you, they're not answering the same question.

Dr Patton is great! He is very knowledgable and a skillful surgeon. He recently performed a laminectomy with fusion on my lower back and I couldn't be more delighted. He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions, very nice "bedside manner", always communicated with me on a personal level. My surgery was a great success and my recovery was much quicker than anticipated. I highly recommend him and would send friends and family to him without reserve.

Dr. Patton, did an excellent job on my spinal fusion, I had a quick recovery partly do to his knowledge of the procedure and recovery instructions. I have no pain and I am unlimited in by activities. I would recommend him to anyone who needs this type of surgery.
