Dr McColl listened and did my husband's surgery sooner than originally planned. He has saved my husbands life and given him some more quality time on this earth. None of us know how long it will ever be but now we know we do have some more time together. He is a doctor who really cars about his patients.

In 2012 I experienced a inguinal hernia (rare for female) February 2013 I had my surgery for a small mesh repair. My surgery was scheduled in Taber. Despite the pregnancy tests that were performed. Day of surgery I do not believe the urinalysis was done correctly and I believe they went ahead with the surgery anyways. Fast forward to April I found out I was pregnant. Not only that the follow up assessment was performed by an affiliate staff because he left Lethbridge and went to Red Deer. The nursing staff in Lethbridge even asked me omg which surgeon cut you up like this. My pregnancy was extremely complicated resulting in an early induction because of complications due to the surgery. The recovery from pregnancy was traumatic and painful. I do not recommend this surgeon to ethically perform a surgery.

This Dr did my gastroscopy at the RDH and I had met him 3 times in total. Every encounter was positive. He was very professional, down to earth and he was very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone.

No words to express how thankful we are for Dr.McColl.
Not only is he the most caring and thoughtful physician we have ever met. But he is also an amazing surgeon and human being. From the first moment we met him in his office, until the day I went home after my surgery, he made me feel important, listened to ALL of my concerns and included my husband in the discussions.
He made an extremely difficult time in our lives (Cancer), the least stressful as possible. Made us feel at peace and confident of a cure. And here we are 2 years later and feeling amazing. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for being so amazing. We will never be able to repay our gratitude for your care.

I am responding to the comment below on Oct.31...I am a Nurse who was working that night and was with that patient the entire time. Dr.McColl did NOT in any way, shape or form make ANY of those comments. The patient told him the night after the surgery that she heard him say these comments and he was completely blindsided. Everyone in the OR wears scrubs, a cap, and a mask...she clearly thought he was someone else. This patient was mistaken and Dr.McColl DID NOT say any of these things. He felt terrible and spoke to the patient directly. She appeared to understand that it was a misunderstanding and even stated "The drugs have been making me loopy." Its unfortunate that her son felt this way but I cannot allow this comment to be on social media without ALL of the information. Dr.McColl is extremely kind, compassionate and ALWAYS professional. These comments are out of line, inaccurate and unfortunately a huge misunderstanding.
