We saw him one time and that's when my husband was on life support. He came in and said miracles happen and turned around and left. I asked what happened and he ignored me. His team was useless when we contacted them with our concerns. They just let my husband die. When asked to see the medical records they said they had been lost very suspicious

dr cameron performed mitral valve repair and one bypass on my friend; he was the last surgical patient of the day and this surgery was going into the evening,,finally dr cameron came out to speak with me to say he had also found an undiagnosed other problem in his heart which he was able to repair,,,my friends heart had enlarged as the valve had not been working properly in quite some time,,,,he was so very short of breath and his former athlete status had been reduced to sitting in a chair,,,before surgery he also had irregular heartbeats that were very dangerous,,,dr cameron did an excellent job and we are so grateful that his heart is now functioning normally,,,we have advised others to seek his care ,,,

Dr. Duke Cameron also was my mother surgeon in 2012. My family like many other families only seen him one time. That was when she was just being wheeled the hall after heart bypass and a heat valve that we were not informed that she was receiving., Day after our mothers surgery he was at a conference out of the USA. Unfortunately my mother spent 3 weeks in ICU. Due to infections her organs were failing. Our dear mother had to be taken off life support. She was aware of her situation. How sad that he didn't explain how many complications that would or could occur.. He needs to retire!! Bottom line too many patients have died under his care. But yet he's still practicing. Again he collects the money and goes abroad! If you need heart surgery Union Memoroal Hospital also in Balto, Md would be my choice. I'm sorry for the families that have shared the unprofessional experience that our loving mother did!

Dr. Cameron told my grandmother she had a very good chance of survival from valve/bypass surgery and he recommended it stating she would feel 10 years younger. She spent a month in ICU before dying. She was full of life and chose this surgery to feel better. We never saw him afterwards. Seems as if he never looked into her past history to see if her body could handle the impact of the surgery. I regret our decision. I wish he would have been more realistic with us and told us more of the risks of surgery. I think she could still be here today if she didn't have the surgery. And if she would have died from a heart attack it may have been a better way to go compared to a month of pain in the hospital at Hopkins where she got so many infections. The nursing care was far from surpurb. Hand hygiene and cleanliness needs to be taught. Maybe my grandmother would not have been septic. For being the best hospital the care is far from the best. :(

My dear mother had surg, dr duke cameron. No where to be found. Spoke one time after surg. He was out of the country. Unfortunately my mother passed away. If he can't take care of critical ill patients. Need a new chief. He did surg, another dollar in his pocket. I would not recommend him to anyone. He's over rated. I was told that by another cardiologist. So The duke, as they call him. Time to retire.

Dr. Cameron replaced my 52 year old bicuspit aortic valve with a bovine valve. I am now 55 and feeling well. I have some feeling of my heart muscle (that I never noticed before, maybe it's all in my head) and I feel quicker to get tired during basketball playing but feel blessed. Dr. Cameron was so nice before, during and after. Thank you Dr. Cameron. I guess I may need it done again in about 7-12 years?

After many hospitalizations in Florida for an uncommon post heart surgery problem, Dr. Cameron is the first doctor to give me any hope of recovering from my heart condition.

Dr. Cameron saved my mothers life. As a cardiac surgeon, the best specialist in aortic root valve replacements, Dr. Cameron is so humble yet knowledgeable and thorough. I wouldnt recommend any other heart surgeon. If I hadnt seen his work wonders with my own eyes I probably would have never believed it. Duke Cameron and his staff are lifesavers.

Doctor Cameron and his staff should be the first and only stop for any Cardio surgical needs. I required a second Aortic Valve replacement and being able to make a comparison to my prior surgeon, Dr Cameron was very thorough. Great bedside manners, very knowledgeable and experienced enough to know when he needed to pull in experts in other fields. Not to mention he has a wonderful staff. I cannot stress the difference in comparison between Hopkins and another major University hospital but the choice to employ Doctor Cameron’s services was not regrettable. He delayed a trip to Europe to save my life. The fact that he was not arrogant in his ability to pull in other areas of expertise for a third opinion makes him a great overall doctor/surgeon.
