As an ER nurse I have always been skeptical of plastic surgery; due to the horror stories I have both seen and heard in my professional career. I had always wanted a breast augmentation, but was afraid of the typical “jiffy lube” surgery that a lot of plastic surgeons offer. I was concerned about the overall finished look, follow up complications, and most importantly the overall safety both during and after surgery. Dr. White far exceeded all of my expectations of what I wanted in a plastic surgeon. His main goal is safety, but finds a way to give you exactly what you always wanted. I felt very safe having my procedure performed in one of the best hospitals in Dallas, and not in some back room of an office where any number of things could go wrong. There was an anesthesiologist who did my sedation, and registered nurses who took care of me both before and after surgery. Before my surgery I wasn’t even nervous at all, because I knew I had the best taking care of me at all times. As a nurse it’s hard to surrender yourself completely to others and trust them with your own care, but the staff made me feel comfortable and safe to do so. My recovery was exceptionally quick, and with minimal pain. I loved Dr. White’s post-surgery plan. He doesn’t just dope you up with narcotics after surgery. He pinpoints that the reason there is pain after breast augmentations, is due to a tight muscle wanting to spasm and contract back into its normal shape. In order to correct this issue he uses muscle relaxers; not strong narcotics that just make you feel foggy with minimal pain relief. Overall, my experience with Dr. White was exceptional; there isn’t anyone else I would have felt as safe with. When you choose Dr. White, you are putting your faith in an extraordinary surgeon, but I also believe that he is truly an artist at what he does.

At age 64, my 28 year old breast implants decided they’d been around long enough, and one started leaking. After my annual mammogram, my initial instincts were confirmed, and I needed to have them remove.

I hadn’t a clue where to go, since the doctor who had done the original surgery had retired six months prior to my issue. I spoke with my dermatologist, and asked if she could give me any recommendations. Her immediate answer was Dr. Steven White. She’d seen quite a bit of his work, and put him at the top of her list.

The following day, I called Dr. White’s office and within a few days, had my initial consultation. My implants needed to be removed, and I chose to do nothing else at that time… perhaps a lift in the future.

I also discussed the possibility of a tummy tuck… just a thought. I have exercised several days (4 or 5) a week for the past six years, and I can’t seem to make a difference in my shape or my size (I’d like to blame gravity, but I’m sure age has something to do with it!) I have always been reasonably fit, watched my diet, and watched my waist get thicker and my belly softer!!!

So, five weeks after my breast surgery…which was uncomfortable for a couple of weeks, but not unbearable, my husband and I decided I should proceed with an abdominoplasty. I mean, if you don’t have any boobs left, why would you want a belly!

After surgery, I must say, the discomfort was pretty significant for the first two weeks, but the results are terrific. I may not have much of a chest but I actually have a great (OK, smaller) waist and the flattest tummy EVER!

I can’t say enough about Dr. White and his incredible staff! They all act as if you are the only patient they are dealing with. They call regularly to be sure you’re doing all right. There are numerous follow-up appointments to check progress, and if I have a question that may seem ridiculous to them, they will patiently explain everything.

Dr. White has a great bedside manner… the night of my procedure; he was at the hospital late in the evening checking on me. The next day, he was back to show my husband how to get me out of bed and help with the drains.

I really should have done all of this earlier in my life… why wait, but then I just kept thinking I could get my shape back with HARD work! Well, I was wrong. So, thanks, Dr. White and staff… trust me, I’m passing your name along.

Oh, in case you’re wondering if I’d ever have another procedure…maybe, but would I go anywhere else…NOT A CHANCE!

After 5 years of looking at my "kangaroo pouch" which neither diet or excercise would cure, I decided to go to Dr. White after seeing him in Dallas's Top Doctors Magazine. He did an awesome job and make waist looks nicely sculpted. I would certainly recommend him to family and friends!

In December of 2007 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery the following
January. My doctor said I should plan on having the surgery and then receive radiation
treatments, but between the time of the diagnosis and surgery, the cancer grew more than
expected so that when I went to my follow-up appointment after the surgery, the doctor
recommended that I receive six months of chemotherapy and then have radiation treatments.
As a result of the chemotherapy my facial skin became significantly wrinkled and my eyes
seemed to be small as if they couldn’t open to their fullest extent. A close acquaintance
suggested that I schedule a consultation with Dr. Steven J. White as he was a highly regarded
cosmetic surgeon who would be able to remediate my facial conditions. Shortly thereafter
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. White. At the end of the consultation which was
informative and comforting, I decided to proceed with a two-step surgery.

After each surgery, Dr. White stopped by every day and night to check on my condition.
His comments were clear and concise. He has a unique ability to set one at ease. During
recovery and in subsequent appointments, I cannot say enough about his professional skills
and demeanor.

Due to my age I am surely in Dr. White’s ‘senior class’ of patients. His skill as a surgeon
has proved to be extremely effective. I look and feel years younger. I would definitely
recommend any person needing cosmetic surgery to call Dr. Steven J. White’s office to
schedule a consultation. He is a perfectionist with very high standards and his many
patients benefit from those traits.

After several years of talking about getting a breast augmentation done we finally felt like we were at a good place financially and wanted to get a professional opinion about where we should go from here. I have breastfed two beautiful babies and after nourishing those cuties there wasn’t much left…if anything of the girls. I got to a point where I rarely looked at my chest. I just threw on a bombshell bra and called it a day, but desperately looked forward to the day when I wouldn’t need a bra to feel proportionate or basically just like a woman. As I began my research I stumbled upon Dr. White’s website and just loved everything I found there. I continued to research several other doctors but kept coming back to Dr. White. I finally made the call to set up a consultation. I thought if Dr.White is anything like I imagine then I will be set. I went into the consultation with an open mind and my husband was there to help ask any questions I forgot. The consultation went very smoothly and felt very comfortable finalizing all the details for surgery. My three main goals for my augmentation were
1. Look natural but full/ proportionate
2. Still fit in old clothes
3. Be able to run without discomfort (love working out)
I can say without a shadow of a doubt that all my goals were met!! On a side note my nurses at the hospital were amazing as well! Felt completely taken care of and everyone involved was extremely professional!
One of the biggest obstacles for me was having faith and letting Dr. White decide the final size for me. All I can say is trust the process…he’s artistic approach is nothing short of perfection and I would have never been able to replicate into words what he’s created and gotten the same amazing results! After much research , I chose to go with Dr. White for a brow lift and lower blephoplasty. I couldn't be happier with the results ! His skill , compassion, knowledge , and attention to detail are something you don't run into every day . I felt he truly cared and wanted the best for me . Couldn't ask for a better staff, surgeon, or results. Am just a few days out from my breast augmentation, have no bruising, extremely minimal pain (feels like I got a good workout!), and am already in love with my new breasts. I couldn't recommend Dr. White and his staff more strongly.
