Standoffish and not kind. Blames her assistants on shortcomings. Canceled appointments without telling me.

What she offers is not care. She’s the wrong person taking up space in such a vital and important role.

Every time i have spoken to her she has been cold to me. She didn't greet me when I happened to run into her at the ER because I couldn't get an appointment for 3 months! She made sure my appointmentw as as fast as possible by not listening to what I had to say and got in a huff when I asked her why she never scheduled a follow-up which was why i wound up in the er in the first place. She walked away from me and had me comitted without ever speaking to me again. She's the worst if you have her. run

Dr. Clendenin is fantastic! She’s very personablr and warm—I think the originally commenter must have caught her on a day she was feeling tired/overworked. Unlike other paychiatrists I’ve worked with, Dr. Clendenin remembers specific details about our last visits and is encouraging and helpful in guiding me through my medication changes. She’s a thoughtful and active listener, an excellent communicator, and overall I would highly recommend her.

Don't listen to the rating below. Dr Clendenin is warm, compassionate, knowledgeable and spent more time listening than any other psychiatrist I've had.

I saw Rebecca Clendenin as a resident for social anxiety and depression. I could tell when I was boring her (which was often) as she would constantly shift positions and tried to stifle her yawning. She was very cold and stand offish. I felt uncomfortable even attempting to shake her hand, whereas with other doctors I've hugged. It was obvious she was just OVER the whole thing and couldn't care less. I once told her my older estranged sister said that I "just want to be rescued", and on our last appointment she said the same thing to me word for word - I don't think she even remembered I told her my sister said this to me as a hurtful comment. When I first met her I had a terrible time just convincing her that my social anxiety was a real and frustrating reality. She kept on condescendingly pushing that I was making a big deal over nothing and that it was all in my head (of course I know it's not rational!) and if I just understood that I'd be CURED! All in all would NOT recommend
