I loved my visit here. The doctor was very friendly and the staff was great. I went here because I had run out contact lens. My right contact lens had torn and only Dr.Cheng would see me.I had called around so many places, only Dr. Cheng took me in despite his schedule bing busy. This one bad review is definitely NOTaccurate. Last year I went to Dr.Bennett and was rushed and the staff is very unprofessional. At checkout, I ended up paying around 350-400 for 1 year of contact lens and the eye exam. This time I only paid around 250 for 1 year of contacts and the eye exam. I have went to other optometrist in Tyler and I normally pay about 300 for 1 year of contacts and the eye exam. Because I could get my contact lens I was able still attend my meeting the next day as planned.

Thank you so much! This is my second time visiting Dr. Cheng's office for my annual eye exam. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He detected a major health issue during the eye exam, and used a special machine to take a picture of the "retina" of my eyes. I was so impressed!! No other doctor has shown me what my "eyes" look like. He took time to listen to me and explained to me what was going on. He wrote to my medical doctor advising tests to run. I will recommend this doctor to my family and friends.

I have been to several optometrist around Tyler. Dr. Cheng is far the best one I have ever had. He is super friendly, knowledgeable and took time to answer all my questions. He fit me with one the most comfortable contact lens I have every used, and for a year worth of contacts I only paid 20 dollars with my insurance. I loved how they took me in as a walkin. They checked my insurance on the spot and I even received my contacts that same day.I will definitely be going there from now on.

My husband and I went in for an contacts/glasses eye exam. The front desk lady was very personable, as was the doctor, but we could never seem to get a straight price from the lady at the front. I asked several times how much things would cost and she would only give me a range. An eye exam that would usually cost $120 (with no insurance) at Gene Bennet was $160 at this place. Their contact prices were also quite high. Our total walkout is usually around 100 each with our insurances was $560 and this does not even include my husband's contacts. He was assured he could throw his old contacts away because they had his prescription in stock. After his exam, they said they did not have his prescription, and he would have to wear contacts that were a -9.0 (almost a full point lower than his -9.75).They won't ship your contacts to you if you don't order a full year (we live a full 2 hours away). He's still awaiting his trial pair, but in the mean time, he has to live with limited vision.
