Dr. Moldawer is extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He is the best back surgeon in Los Angeles, period.

Dr Moldawer is a great surgeon. His bedside manner is fine. Seems people get their feelings hurt when it doesn't seem like he's spending enough time with them. He has seen it before, he's the expert, and he doesn't want to waste time with you. He clearly states his findings and opinions/suggestions. If you need more clarification, ask.

Moldawer lacks bedside manner - he might try seeming less like he's running late for everything, and you are his latest interruption - but his report was very thorough, explained everything he did, and arrived on my door a few days later. His staff, however, was a complete nightmare. Given six Celebrex for three herniated discs, I naturally ran out within a week's time (Moldawer's thinking here, which was correct, was to see if it actually worked first). It took me four days to get a new prescription, and those efforts were met with annoyance and outright hostility when I explained that Advil doesn't quite cut it for pain relief in this situation. Assistant Myra and another staffer, Brian, were hindrances; staffer Brian actually tried to tell me that I should apologize to Myra after I blew my stack at her after three days of stonewalling. Not bloody likely. I'm going to another doctor to deal with my issues - Moldawer's good, his staff are horrid.

Dr moldawer and ms park his physicans assistant are both good doctors. Dr Moldawer is a good surgeon and always is in good mood smiling. He does need to work on his communication skills but other then that great surgeon. I see his assistant a lot also she is very understanding as ahe has been through back surguries herself.

He is very knowledgeable and probably a very good surgeon. I saw him for a quick thorough consult, he ordered a new MRI. He told me he would call me within 24 hours of receiving the results of the MRI he sent me for, 4 days later I was told I had to come in and review my MRI results, a new policy. I go in and am seen by his Physicians Assistant who read the report I had received 4 days prior. It was her first time reading it. She told me Dr M. would likely recommend a multi level fusion. I had to demand to see him. He had no intention of consulting me on my results and more importantly my next step. I waited an hour and had to insist on seeing the surgeon. He advised me to do physical therapy for a month. Epidurals did not help. I was underwhelmed by his patience and follow through. A surgeon at Cedar's recommended a completely different procedure. If I have surgery I'll get 2 more opinions.

I waited 3 hours for Dr.Moldawer, then got 3 minutes of his time. I have heard he is a great surgeon, but he rates a 0 on bedside manner. Most of the conversation was one way, you can't possible listen to a patient if you only have 3 minutes.

I first met Dr. Moldawer and his staff (Olivia) back in 1994 when he performed a laminectomy on me. He explained everything to me in great detail and I was confident he'd do a great job - and he did. Unfortunately I've had a few flair-up's since then and he and his staff always remember me, treat me with kindness and respect. They are always so prompt in answering my questions. Olivia is a GREAT asset to him. He is a brilliant doctor.....and I would recommend him.

Dr. Moldawer needs better bedside manners... Adhesive Remover Wipes are in every Hospital and work very well with removing dressing instead of ripping them of the patient... and dont even get me started on the drainage tube there alot of ways to pull a drain but Dr. Moldawer feels pulling with all he's might is the way to go .. not so Little man ... Besides thinking he is God in front of the nursing staff and himself, he is a good surgeon just needs to come back down to earth and its not much of a trip for him ......
