Very, very obnoxious , Cold and not helpful at all all he believes in making problems from stupid prescription and says to me here you want it the prescription or not he just wanted to get rid of me. Very disgusting and pathetic.

I recently visited Dr. Bosco Lui upon referral from my family doctor for a persistent stuffy nose and vertigo that I've been struggling with for many years. While I was hopeful that this visit would provide some answers or relief, my experience was unfortunately disappointing.

**Pros:**
- Comprehensive tests were conducted to diagnose the issue.

**Cons:**
- **Bedside Manner:** My concerns were met with dismissiveness. Despite the tests showing no apparent issues, I was seeking some reassurance or guidance on how to manage my symptoms. Instead, I was met with a response that felt condescending. When I expressed further concern for my health, Dr. Lui remarked, “Didn’t you hear what I said? I said nothing is wrong and it’s up to you to believe me or not.” This was not only unhelpful but also diminished my concerns as a patient.
- **Communication:** There was a lack of empathy and understanding in our communication. As a patient, I was looking for some level of reassurance or advice on how to proceed, even if the tests were inconclusive or showed no significant issues. The interaction left me feeling dismissed and undervalued.

In conclusion, while I do not doubt Dr. Lui’s expertise in the field of ENT, the approach to patient care, particularly in terms of communication and empathy, was significantly lacking. It's important for medical professionals to remember that how they convey information and interact with patients is just as crucial as their clinical skills. A more compassionate approach would have made a world of difference in my experience.

Dr Lui is a fantastic dr. I dont understand all the low ratings. He has literally saved my life. I was dismissed by the first high rated ENT in Newmarket. Then had radioactive scans by endocrinologist that picked up Graves disease but not much help. Dr Lui listened to my concerns, reviewed all past tests and ultrasounds and very quickly decided on biopsy. Papillary cancer of thyroid. He had me in for surgery within a month and has followed up within a day anytime i have called with concerns. I have treatment at Princess Margaret now as the cells had mitigated to lymph nodes. If I had of listened to first ENT I'm not sure how this would have played out for me. Dr Lui has passed my care on to others but told me he will always be my dr and there for me if I need him. Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and capable. He's the Dr. you want on your team, honestly. I am so grateful to him for listening and acting on my concerns when other Drs did not.

It’s my second time to visit him to follow up my biopsy result of the thyroid issue and check my nose bleeding problem. Before I chose his service, I had done some research online and checked with my client(I am a registered massage therapist) work in the same hospital he work at about his skills. Based on his knowledge and skills i decide to see him and I am glad that I made a right decision.

He is not those type of special just tell you do this test and that test and suggest you cut your thyroid even the though it is not necessary. He will answer your question in a professional attitude. When I am at the waiting room. I heard he spent time to answer the previous patient’s question and explain to him in proper manner.

I am satisfied with Dr Lui’s professional service and attitude. He answer my questions and you can tell him is skillful when he did the biopsy and putting the tub into my nose. The whole process of them is smooth, quick and no discomfort. Doesn’t like another specialist that I used to visit for years. After check in with the front desk, Dr Lui will handle all the remaining processes that a specialist should perform on his job.

Overall my comment is, Dr Lui is knowledgeable, skillful, patient. It’s easy to make appointment with him. The service is effective (It only took me 15 minutes to see him after check in. Last time for biopsy is around 10 minutes).

The thyroid is a very important organ in our body. Your decision is heavily depends the specialist. It’s important to choose a good one. I hope my review is helpful for you to makers that decision.

Friendly, knowledgeable, professional. I highly recommend Dr.Lui, and am quite thankful that my doctor referred me to him.

Dr. Lui's office is easy to access. There is free parking. The office itself is neat, tidy/clean and well lit. As a jazz fan I appreciated the office music. The front office staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Dr. Lui gave me his full attention and did not make me feel rushed. He answered my pre - and post - surgery questions thoughtfully and in a way I understood. The surgery was successful which I appreciate.

As bad as I felt about being referred to a specialist for my health issue, this doctor and his staff made me feel worse. The internet is way more helpful and I wish I could have my time spent at his clinic refunded.

I would give this doctor a zero rating if I could. The appointment with him was a waste of my time. I was asked to complete a hearing test but there was no explanation as to why it was needed for my issue. No result of the hearing test was reviewed during the appointment. He appeared to be in a rush to send me off and was walking in an out during my appointment. It turned out he was seeing another patient in another open room at the same time. This doctor's practice is questionable.

One of the worst doctors I've seen. Lack communication skills to say the least (not to mention compassion). Don't offer much information unless you ask. Don't offer much information even when you ask. There should be basic standards how these "specialists" communicate with their patients (what could've been the cause(s), possible treatments, what to watch out for, etc.) Not sure if these "specialists" deserve the hundreds of thousands of dollars they receive from taxpayers every year.
