I cannot in all honesty recommend this surgeon. He may be a very knowledgeable surgeon, but if you have any lasting complications as the result of surgery, he is of no use. He is done with you! It took me almost a year to figure this out. I kept returning to his office due to ongoing pain from surgery. He acted very concerned and empathetic. He kept telling me that he would find me help and get back to me. Never happened. Academy Award Performance for Best Doctor in Gaslighting Patients while Faking Concern! I returned to my GP for referrals to help diagnose and deal with the results of surgery.
While I am very grateful to Dr. Gupta for the surgery he performed on me in a very timely manner, I feel that his post surgical lack of professionalism is very concerning. If you don’t know what is causing a problem, don’t pretend you will search for help, send your patient to a doctor who can help them.

Dr. Gupta drove from Bracebridge to Huntsville in a snow storm to perform an emergency c section on me. He saved my daughter’s life and I am forever thankful.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2022, and promptly met with this fab doctor .
He reviewed my reports and we agreed on a bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Gupta is a very caring physician and he saw me through from beginning to end. I was discharged two days post-op and am home and feeling fine. Anyone who is referred to this fine gentleman is lucky to be under his compassionate care.

I was referred to Dr. Gupta after 6 emergency room visits from August 2021- July 2022, with bowel obstructions. CTs were done each time, the doctors the told me the first 3 were complete obstructions and the last 3 were partial obstructions. Every doctor Id seen between 6 emergency visits, including my family doctor and my oncologist, took these obstructions seriously, they said it could be life threatening, and that surgery would likely be helpful to stop the obstructions. Dr Gupta however said there’s no evidence of ANY bowel obstructions, that whatever is happening is “not a big deal” and he would do nothing to help me. I took a day off work for this appointment, it cost me a days salary, just to be told my condition is in my head, which is against the opinions of every other medical professional I’ve seen. When I began to cry and explained how painful it is when it happens, he said rudely “crying is not going to help you. I’m not going to give you surgery just because you cried.” He was very rude, condescending, insulting, he wasted not only my work day and my salary, I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time, and he’s wasted the last month of my time I’ve been waiting for this appointment.

My 90 year old mother fell and sustained a deep gash to her left leg. Given her age, diabetes and chronic leg swelling, her risk of infection was extremely high. Dr. Gupta treated her in the Emergency Department. His care was skillful and compassionate. He listened attentively, explained his proposed treatment, and took exceedingly good care of her. She is making a remarkable recovery, and I am grateful to Dr. Gupta for his expert care.

Dr. Rohit Gupta was a blessing to me. He is very kind, caring and an incredible surgeon. My surgery for Rectal Cancer was 100% successful as a result of Dr. Gupta and his team. His support staff are wonderful and attentive. We are indeed fortunate to have him in our community. what a doctor, very thorough and extremely talented.
Even better than so called big Toronto docs and never afraid of taking up challenging and difficult cases which nobody wants to touch.
Lucky to have him in Muskoka who can do ERCP and advanced endoscopic procedures.
