Dr Olive delivered my baby in 2016 at St Vincent’s Private. Technically she is fantastic, as was Kate in admin. At the first consult, I mentioned the pregnancy was unplanned and at the age of 35, I was happy with my choice to continue the pregnancy as a single mother. After the six week post partum check up, I thanked her and said if I ever choose to have another baby, I would definitely use her services again. As I opened the door to leave, she said, without looking me in the eye, “Just make sure next time it’s not an accident.” Even Kate looked at me in shock. I was too stunned to respond. It’s been almost six years since Emily Olive said that to me and the memory of her words is still hurtful. Simply rude and downright unprofessional, not to mention judgmental. I regret not making an official complaint to the hospital. Maybe then she would have given me the apology I deserved.

I have been lucky enough to have been under Dr Emily Olive‘s care twice in the last two years.

Both of our sons were born healthy and happy and I was back bouncing around medication free within a week of both deliveries.

Emily is kind, thoughtful and an absolute superstar of a surgeon and has the most wonderful team supporting her.

I will forever be grateful for Emily’s care, advice and understanding during both of my pregnancies.

Dr. Emily Olive is a great obstetrician who managed our high risk pregnancy & helped deliver our long-awaited baby (after 4 unfortunate pregnancies before, not under her guidance). Always punctual, kind & sturdy as a person & very professional, she never overdid things & didn’t push or stress me about doing what wasn’t necessary according to her professional experience, but did the right thing when it was needed. We are very happy with the way we were looked after & the delivery of our precious baby. He came out healthy & strong with 9 out of 10 Apgar score. I ended up having an elective c-section, which went amazing, much better that expected. Bottom line - a great doctor of choice in case you want to go private or have a high risk pregnancy.

Dr Emily Olive is my gynaecologist and I would not have chosen anyone else . My baby girl was born on the 9th of March 2018 amongst of many complications my doc remained calm and composed and saved my baby by taking rationale decisions. Very steadfast in her approach and is well trained in handing complex situations. The only constructive feedback would be if Shen could promote education about pregnancy nutrition both pre natal and post natal.

Dr. Olive was great. She delivered my baby via vaginal birth and it was a beautiful experience. Appointments with her were very pleasant and quick and every visit, she explained the position of the baby and every little detail that we wanted to know. I had some stitches from tears during delivery but she did a beautiful job and they healed very fast and dint bother me at all.
