I am astonished that Dr Scumpia cares so little for her patients. It's all a business to her including adding more test procedures for body measurements so she can sell Ideal Protein.

She is awful to interact with. She dismisses your questions or symptoms / new endo issues you would like her to focus on further.
If she focused as much energy genuinely caring for her patients as she does marketing her practice (she advertises everywhere) she would be helping her patients.

Seen her twice for a total of 6 minutes. That was 6 minutes too long. I learned nothing. No treatment options. Got diagnosis but wouldn't tell me anything about it. Just wanted more appointments. She's running a drive thru medical service without the medical. She even had HER lab draw blood for analysis that was just done two weeks before by my GP and she was holding the results in her hand. All about the $$$$. Run from this woman!!

My rating is actually zero stars. I wish I would have read the reviews before I went. Wait time was over an hour for both of my appointments. I cancelled my third appointment 4 days in advance for which I was charged $25. When I called to ask that the cancellation charge be removed, I was VERY RUDELY refused by the billing person. Shoddy business. Don't go there.

Oh... and NONE of her recommendations helped!

felt like just a number, she didn't really attempt to diagnose, I felt like "just another" with same problems... exercise and diet , your labs are okay. a year later I've dieted and exercised my butt off labs still ok..... somethings not right though. LISTEN to me!

She used to be good, but once she built her own building it was all about volume and $$$. No time to review labs before walking into the room, no patience for questions or discussion of symptoms, no bedside manner, no compassion, more in office tests and scans and unwilling to discuss options. Wham bam, thank you mam! My husband and I both received the same kind of treatment, so it's not a female thing. I gave up on her long before my husband did. He finally got fed up when she insisted he needed his thyroid removed and referred him to a surgeon. The surgeon disagreed and that was the last straw for him. We do not recommend her if you want to be more than a number.

I visited Dr. Scumpia for the first time and had no problems. didn't hear anyone in the offices complaining. She and her staff were very pleasant, more so than some other doctors offices I have been to.

Dr. Scumpia is fantastic. If you want great care and attention to detail, you'll get it from her. I've been seeing her since 1995 and have nothing but exceptional experiences. I was raised in a physician family and have seen many physicians of many skill sets and Dr. Scumpia possesses some of the best qualities. She will take good care of you and make you feel at ease with your health care in her hands. She is my favorite Doc! I also know that some people cannot be pleased and they are the ones who are first to write reviews. For every bad review written, there are hundreds of good/excellent experiences that satisfied people just haven't taken the trouble to write.

Saw this dr 3 times, all my visits she talked on her cell & then gave me 3 mins. She needs more English classes, her staff almost killed me with 2 prescriptions that were ordered prior to my surgery. One was to be taken with H2O & her staff told to put it in my eyes, Luckily my pharmacy caught both script & had to talk to Dr her self. After my surgery they called me for follow up, NO THANKS. I found Dr Michael Moore best Endo. NAMC

In the 9 years I have been going to this doctor I have seen her exactly twice! I am usually seen by one of her PA's. Most of the PA's are like Scumpia...rude and cold. Just when I considered finding a new doctor, I started meeting with a new PA who has been very attentive, personable, and helpful. However, my most recent appointment sealed it....I waited over an hour before being called back. Then waited another 30 minutes in the exam room. To my surprise Scumpia herself flew in, spoke to me for 20 seconds without looking up from the computer and then conducted a millisecond exam. She then handed me the clip board indicating I was good to go for another 6 months. Nearly 2 hours of my precious time was wasted for this ridiculous appointment. I was so irritated by her rudeness and indifference that when I walked out I decided I would not be back.

Don't know how Scumpia stays in business! Most uncaring, cold doctor I've ever been to. Fortunately I've moved on from seeing her after several visits that left me feeling stupid and unwanted as a patient. Have found another endocrinologist in the area to whom I can relate to on a human level, as opposed to Scumpia who seems to exist only to require lab work ad nauseum with little follow up. Good riddance!
