Dr Dowd sent me home sick from a colonoscopy. I had to return to the hospital and spend the night. I should not have been released the first time as I was nauseous and vomiting upon leaving the hospital. My husband had a colonoscopy and had punctures. He too was sent home returning by ambulance the next day to have 6 months of nightmare procedures from various dr.'s due to the colonoscopy performed by dr. Dowd. I would not recommend this Dr.

Unfortunately, I had to leave this practice. I found Dr. Dowd difficult to communicate with, received contradictory information from the Physician Assistant in his practice that I had to see as he was often not available. Did not receive clear answers as to what my overall prognosis was. Happy to say that I did switch practices and am over the moon with my new GI doc.
