Excellent practice! Dr. Bisson and his staff have always provided me with exceptional dental care. He and his hygienists are gentle, thorough, professional, caring and knowledgeable. They answer questions, provide options and solid recommendations and do their homework. I have a complex medical history and require very sensitive and safe care when at the dentist to ensure I don't run into issues. When I first started with Dr. Bisson he took the initiative to collaborate with my doctor to ensure my ongoing dental treatment and care is part of a wider medical-health plan. The staff group is attentive, accessible and proactive. It's always a relaxed and comfortable environment and you can tell the staff like working for Dr. Bisson because of how they treat patients and each other with warmth and humour - you can't fake it that well...it's genuine. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my dental care...and that says a lot because I drive from Milton for my appointments. Join Dr. Bisson's practice now...you'll be glad you did.

Dr. Bisson's staff are the friendliest, most genuine people you will find. The atmosphere in his office is relaxed and welcoming. The setting is a beautifully restored home that doesn't even look or feel like a dentist's office! Dr. Bisson has also done my daughter's braces and we are very happy with how it is all going. Our whole family highly recommends Dr. Bisson and his exceptional practice.

I was looking for a change in my dentist so I asked my friends and colleagues who they went to. Bisson's name came up the most. Around 2 weeks ago I went for a full exam and I have never had one so thorough before in my life! After he explained how my bite and my headaches were related (nobody ever told me this before). Plain and simple he knows his stuff. His nurse Asha and his hygienist (long dark hair) are amazing! and he is the nicest dentist I have met. I read the bad reviews below, someone obviously made those up. I can tell you I have a lot of old fillings that he showed me on the camera, he gave me different options, but said it was up to me how I wanted to fix them. Before my dentist just told me I needed crowns. So I know Dr. Bisson isn't trying to sell me something.

I saw Dr. Bisson for a routine checkup. I had never had any cavities previously. He indicated that one of my teeth was deeply pitted, and should be sealed before it became a problem. Although no dentist had identified this issue prior to this, I went ahead with his recommendation. Now the tooth has developed a cavity. My sense is that he was looking for an excuse to do work which few other dentists would think necessary, and now that tooth is compromised because of his meddling.

Dr. Andre Bisson's response
Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, many oral conditions can go undiagnosed which is why Dr Bisson always performs a thorough clinical exam under high power microscopes and LED lighting which allows the early detection of oral disease before it becomes a problem for you. We are sorry that your previous dentists had missed this diagnosis.
Placement of sealants for deeply pitted teeth is a very common procedure and is recommended and performed routinely at dental offices. The suggestion of placing a sealant in a deeply pitted tooth is to hopefully protect your tooth from further problems and is never financial in nature.
Having said this, cavities are caused by poor oral hygiene, bacteria and sugar, not by placing a sealant. So if your tooth now has a filling, it is recommended that you improve your oral hygiene and diet in order to prevent future problems.
Again, thank you for your feedback and please call our office if you need to discuss this further. We are always here to help!

Dr. Bisson and his assitants are amazing. I had some older fillings replaced today and my entire visit was pleasant and pain free! I am an extremely nervous patient and Dr. Bisson and his staff actually made my visit enjoyable and put me at ease from the moment I walked through the door. Dr. Bisson is gentle, personable and very honest and upfront about any treatment he is recommending. He took the time to discuss my options prior to any treatment and was very accepting of my decision even though I didn't pick the option with the highest price tag.I am so happy Dr. Bisson is now caring for my teeth. I would highly recommend Dr. Bisson and his staff to anyone who wants a dental office that is both professional and personable.

Biography

Driving up Woolwich St., one can’t help but notice the beautiful brick homes that were built by Guelph’s famous architect John Hall. One of those historic buildings is home to Bisson Dentistry which perfectly blended 140 year old history with technology that has been responsible for the advancement of dental treatment. It’s founder, Dr. Andre Bisson, started with a vision. Create an atmosphere where people loved to come into work. This lead to building a team who provide exceptional dentistry with an exceptional patient experience. After studying Mathematics at Western University, the Timmins, Ontario native completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine at McGill University. Soon after, Dr. Bisson was accepted into the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at The University of Connecticut. Ever since, Dr. Bisson has dedicated many hours of postgraduate education to learn how to care for patients at the highest ethical and professional level. A primary principle of Bisson Dentistry is to do what is necessary to achieve long-term maintainable health and comfort as well as the creation and maintenance of a beautiful, natural smile. Dr. Bisson was trained to use the WIDIOM rule, which means, ”would I do it on me?” This concept requires careful examination and treatment planning designed to help patients understand every problem so priorities of treatment can be put into proper perspective. Over-treatment is never acceptable and hurried, incomplete examinations or ineffective treatment planning too often results in dissatisfaction. With proper treatment planning, patients can know in advance everything needed to make a good decision about their dental treatment and to make choices when options for treatment can be safely made. In addition to Orthodontics and Cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Bisson is trained in the analysis of bite problems and related disorders of the TMJ’s (jaw joints ). The goal is always a completely comfortable bite and a peaceful neuromuscular system. Despite Andre’s numerous academic and professional achievements, he remains a highly grounded individual that immediately eases any anxiety you may have about “the dentist”. Married and a father of three, Dr. Bisson is very quick to gain the trust of adults and children who have had a previous dental experience which may have left them hesitant about seeking the dental treatment they need and deserve.  “I am always striving to provide my patients with the best dental appointment they have ever had” Dr. Andre Bisson
