It was an amazing experience , the staff at Dr Brenda Chekay and the clinic are very caring thoughtful and really helped my daughter out in an emergency situation with her loose appliance and they were able to see her and help her at the time she really needed it. I would highly recommend her and we in fact are arranging to continue the rest of my daughters braces and treatment plan with her. They were really outstanding to my daughter and really took care of her situation. We appreciate it so much and will continue my daughter's treatment for her braces with Dr Brenda and team!

Dr Chekay gives excellent care. Myself and 3 of my family members have been her patients and she has always been very professional, caring, intelligent and friendly. Her staff are very competent and kind. Her office is well kept, very clean and with a modern chic design. We are all very happy with the result of our teeth and would highly recommend Dr Chekay. Dr Chekay and team are amazing. They make sure you get the best treatment and the follow up after my braces came off has been great too. They made many adjustments and I am quiet happy.

I was 65 years old when my dentist was very concerned about my teeth shifting...causing teeth to chip because the bite was off and due to plaque build up between overlapping teeth was causing bleeding gums and the beginnings of gum disease...at my age braces were needless to say not my first choice...he highly recommended Dr Chekay....we had a consultation...she offered her opinion about how to proceed...no pressure....there were choices...Gail her office manager...and co worker also offered advice...payment options....appointment schedules....everyone was so helpful....in approximately one year my teeth were straight....my dentist was more than pleased with the results....I still visit the office 2 years later for adjustments to my night guard at no charge...one fee covered every adjustment or any supplies to make my experience a positive one....I am so pleased..I am 69 and my teeth are in great shape....an amazing experience...I actually miss my visits....if I could give ten stars I would!

Dr. Brenda and her staff have been wonderful to me - I started Invisalign treatment with the clinic almost 1 year ago and things have been progressing well. Any time I have a question or might be concerned about something, Dr. Brenda is quick to get in touch with answers and has been very helpful to me as I continue my treatment with her. The office has a bright and upbeat atmosphere and everyone on the staff is warm, attentive, and wants to make your experience a positive one. I would highly recommend Dr. Brenda to anyone looking for orthodontic treatment - I went to many consultations at many clinics prior to making my decision to start treatment with her and I chose her for a reason - she is one of a kind!

I am almost at the end of my treatment - at 43 I did my second round of orthodontistry- this time Invisiline! I was referred to Dr Chekay and her fabulous team by my dentist! I am so happy to have found this team. They are like a family to me. From the time I walk into the door and get greeted all the way to the chair, I am treated like a queen! Lots of support, advice and humour go a long way! I will miss you all!!!!! Might have to just pop in every now and then to catch up on your family news !!

Started 'early' preventive treatment on my daughter in grade 5. Charged additional fees and extended treatment to end of high school, braces worn so long that it has affected her teeth, gums and actually started to kill one of
her front teeth causing a darker colour. She took no accountability or responsibility, Get a second opinion. I will not return to Dr Chekay.

I saw Dr. Chekay for about 7 years. 6 months of preparation, 6 YEARS of braces, and one year of follow up. She recommended braces for me when I was 10 as a "preventative treatment." Two years later she sits down with my parents and says "oops it's not working, she's going to need them for longer (i.e. more money). During this time, Brenda was extremely rude to my mother, who refused to come into the office. Overtime the professional who recommended me to Dr. Chekay apologized and referred the rest of my family to another orthodontist who we trust and has done good work for reasonable prices.

The reason I, as a now 23 year old, brace-free for 6 years, am writing this review today is because the wire that Dr. Chekay installed to the bottom of my teeth as a permanent retainer has begun breaking in the past month. I called and asked if it were covered to get it replaced, as it was her (cheap) wire that she installed and was told that I needed to pay $300 for a full replacement. Keep in mind, I have supplied Dr. Chekay with plenty of money over the years. I called a different orthodontist in the area who offered it to me for $75.

Please avoid Dr. Chekay. She is rude, overpriced, and wants to start treatment far too early for kids because long term patients = long term cash flow.

Dr. Chekay did my adult braces and she was excellent. Super flexible, easy going and really cares about you. Gail is very accommodating in scheduling appointments and I felt very comfortable with Dr. Chekay's progress month after month. Her fees were good (lower than TO prices) and she saw me as many times as I needed (even after my braces came off). I really do recommend her!!

I was referred to Dr. Chekay from my kids dentist. It is clear that my daughter needs braces, but I was very surprised at how fast Dr. Chekay wanted to start treatment! She was 8 years old at the time of her visit, and Dr. Chekay told me that the braces would be in until she was at least 15 years old. This seemed like a very long time. I was told by many friends and colleagues that we should ideally wait till all her baby teeth were out, and that she probably has a couple of years before she could start treatment. I went for 2 more second opinions and both the other dentist and orthodontist confirmed what I thought. They both said that she should not start treatment for at least another year if not two. She is now due to start treatment around 10-11 years of age, depending on the way her teeth grow in. I just got the impression that Dr. Chekay was to keen to begin treatment, after all, it is a great way to make a lot of money...
