Barry Rath is contracted through LHI who sets up reviews for military vets that are trying to work through traumatic issues with the Veterans Administration.
I had to go through a review with Rath and it was traumatizing. He brought me through the horrific acts again, digging out graphic and unnecessary details. It was the way he asked the questions that made me think he was enjoying the pain he was causing.
He asked leading questions in such a way that I was wrong if I answered ‘yes’ or no’. For example, He asked me if I had spoken of my issues with my psychiatrist, I said ‘no’. He started writing things down and verbally mumbled ‘…hasn’t told psychiatrist’. I explained that I told my therapist, the psychiatrist was new to me and we haven’t had a chance to talk much about anything other than medicine at this point, and Barry looked at me and said, ‘Yeah they’re just a bunch pill pushers.’ He made no change to his notes. The point is, if this was his opinion already, then why ask that question?
