Biography

Dr. McKenzie has worked in healthcare since 1995. She obtained her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2004, and completed a Family Medicine Residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. Dr. McKenzie is board certified in Integrative Medicine through the American Board of Integrative Medicine, and her philosophy is founded in the combination of clinical science with the art of medicine to deliver holistic and integrative care for both men and women’s health needs. She is currently Medical Director of Whole Life Medicine, PS and the Northwest Institute for Healthy Sexuality, both care centers of Washington Urology & Urogynecology, PLLC. Dr. McKenzie brings her expertise in systems approach to acute and chronic conditions for both men and women of all ages, and works in fluid collaboration with multi-disciplinary evidence based treatment approaches. She is also a sexual medicine expert, as well as nationally licensed Sex Counselor through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and specializes in evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of sexual concerns. Dr. McKenzie is a member of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, International Society for Sexual Medicine, American Association of Integrative Medicine, and a nationally licensed Sex Counselor through American Association of Sex Educations and Therapists, and founding member of the Naturopathic Academy of Primary Care Physicians. Dr. McKenzie enjoys teaching, and has lectured extensively in the community and classroom on sexuality and holistic medicine. Dr. McKenzie lives with her husband and two children in Woodinville, is an avid nature enthusiast and loves mountain hiking, long beach walks, and ocean camping. She also enjoys gardening, poetry, and playful living.
