Been seeing Dr Mac for close to 15 years. She is very knowledgable and really cares for her patients, a trait very uncommon these days!

I agree she is extremely dangerous. The very definition of medical negligence. Why she is still practicing in CT is a mystery to me.

I am absolutely disgusted with this doctor and the attention to ongoing care towards myself.she talks down to me.and makes me feel as if my condition is my fault.i am suprised she has her licence.most neglectful borterline mal-practice on every level of doctor/patient care responsibilities.from medication evaluation to physical evaluation to ongoing treatment.the worst part she either ignored answering my questions or refusing to answer them or the simplest of acknowledging my questions at hand.let alone explaining to me anything.may it be a procedure.or phyisical therapy or medication...she is dangerous...stay away from this "doctor"

I was extremely pleased with Dr. Mac when I first saw her some years ago.She was my first pain management Dr. She went above and beyond what she needed to do to help find out what was causing my pain. Her office moved without my receipt of notification of the change. I found out about the move when I received a phone call to confirm my apt. Having the inability to drive I had to cancel and therefore find a new Pain management Dr. closer to the proximity of my drivers comfort level. Later I found Dr. Mac was also in MidState Hospital which was an area my driver would go. I was thrilled and called to make an apt. with her at that facility. I was refused because I had transferred my files to another Dr.when she moved her office. In the interim, I've tried on several other occasions to become her patient again. I either got no response through the years or, again, a no for a response. I was recently told I needed a procedure and still had such a level of trust in Dr. Mac that I called to see if she would perform the procedure and continue as my Dr. thereafter. My name is still in the system, which baffles me 8-9 yrs later, and I felt confident in speaking with the girl scheduling the apt. that I would be fine.Today, I was denied again by Dr. Mac to return as her patient. I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Mac as a physician or I'd not have tried so hard to see her again but.....I do feel that I was not offered the option to return under the care of someone I had complete confidence in from the beginning of my Pain Management treatment. No contract was broken while I was under her care. It saddens me that a physician would find it so easy to dispose of a patient originally in her care. It's been explained on more than one occasion why I was unable, at the time, to see her in her new office and the transfer was not made out of disappointment in her. So, for those of you that may be lucky enough to start off with Dr. Mac as a "new" patient, stick it out and do what you can to get yourself where you need to be to ensure you can continue to see her in the future.

This doctor must write her own reviews. She is one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered . She started me on a very high dose of a scheduled II drug, knowing that I had recently been diagnosed with a painful chronic condition that would require pain medicine for the rest of my life. Why I was not started with Schedule lll drugs, or given other drugs, like cymbalta, lyrica , or Elavil (pain management 101), I will never know. All I know is that I went from taking no narcotics to an extremely high dose within weeks of seeing her. Fortunately, I have found other caring doctors who have helped me undo the trauma she caused.

I went to her twice and the first time she was quick to finish up the appt and did NOT explain ANYTHING to me. The second time I saw her she FELL ASLEEP while sitting directly in front of me!!! I was horrified!...NEVER EVER AGAIN and I would NOT recommend her to my family and/or friends!
